Denouncing

The Next Day

Still Sam's POV:

I told Colby that we were going to skip school today and just have a fun day instead. I decided to tell him about denouncing Ryan and his friends. "Hey Colbs, can I ask you something?" I asked. "S-Sure Sam, what's up?" Colby asked me. "Well, why do you denounce Ryan and his friends?" I asked him. Colby's eyes widened in fear. "N-No I can't!" He panicked. "Colby you can't keep quiet. They have to pay for what they've done to you. Cause if you don't then not only will you live in fear but the abuse will just be worse." Colby thought for a moment then looked at me. "O-ok, I-I'll do it. B-But can you come with me?" Colby asked me. "Of course love, after all, you are my best friend," I replied with a smile on my face.

Once we got to the police station, Colby told them everything. I even confessed that I too witnessed Colby getting abused at school as well. "Well, Colby," the female officer replied. "We'll make sure these guys will never get close to you, much less hurt you ever again." Colby thanked the officer and we soon left the station.

We then went to the store and bought snacks and drinks since we agreed to have a movie marathon. Once we got home, I then ordered pizza. we then decided to watch a couple of movies while we waited for the pizza to show up. Once the pizza came, I put on The Shining since I know it's one of Colby's favorite movies. We were halfway through the movie when we finished the pizza. As we were halfway finished with the movie, Colby then snuggled into me and nuzzled his head into my chest. "Thanks for being my friend Sam and for always being there for me." "No problem Colbs.
