The Skeld was a ship of misery.

Too many crewmates lost their lives onboard, either to freak accidents or Impostors. And not everyone had to die to lose their life.

Sometimes it was finding out that whom you would be engaged to was dead.

Sometimes, it was realizing that the only other person who could help was gone.

And sometimes, it was the sheer misery that stemmed from the fact that no one knew the real person behind the mask, the one that you knew.

Although, there was the chance that what broke you didn't even occur on the mission.

Northwind glanced around to that chaos that he created. Almost everyone was broken in one way or another. He felt kind of bad as he watched Yellow staring at a picture of his partner, at Lime pacing back and forth while wondering about the effectiveness of the solution to the debt, at Green turning the ring box over in her hand.

Honestly, the suffering inflicted was probably undeserved. They were simply living their lives in a completely oblivious way and then Northwind swooped in and ruined it.

Well, maybe that was unfair. They didn't just ruin the lives of those who died, but of those who cared about them.

Something should probably be done.

Northwind looked down at his phone and read a request. For the families and loved ones of those he had ruined to be reunited again. It was probably long overdue.

They cracked their knuckles and began to type furiously. Like usual, several people popped into existence with panicked expressions on their faces. Among those people was a crewmate with a headset and a reflective vest, a random person with climbing gear and carabiner clips attached to their waist, and an older woman with a cane. In the corner of the room was a pair of people looking around in confusion, orange and black eyes narrowing in suspicion.

"Oh Maker's breath..." K'dela said, covering her mouth with her hands. "Mom. Dad."

Umbitr whirled around. "What in the three moons are you... holy chakk. Holy chakk!"

"Is that...?" The couple looked at each other in disbelief. "Little ones?"

The siblings ran over and essentially tackled the pair of adults to the ground, laughing and crying at the same time. Northwind had to suppress a smile and turned their attention to Lime and his mother.

"Davin, are you alright?" Lime's mother asked, lifting Lime's chin up and scrutinizing him. Her eyes looked at her child up and down, making sure that he was alright and disregarding the fact that she had dropped her cane.

"Mom, I'm... fine... really fine..." Lime let out a breathless laugh and hugged her right. "Don't worry about me. I'm okay. I'm okay..."

"It's my job to worry about you and if you dare to make me do otherwise, I will murder you, mister."

"Riley. Hey, Riley." The sound of Yellow's voice, slightly strained, caught Northwind's attention. "You're crushing me... I can't breathe..."

Northwind looked over and saw Yellow being embraced by the climber. "Soren, if you think that I'm going to let go of you, you're wrong."

"I... get that, but... can't breathe... can you... loosen up...?"

Riley released their grip ever so slightly and Yellow took a deep breath. "I'm still not letting go."

"Figures." Yellow leaned in and kissed Riley, his hand tangled in their hair.

"Aww," Vac'shar said. Northwind looked at him and Vac'shar shrugged, still hugging Pluffsy to his chest. "I can enjoy wholesomeness now, okay?"
