Not that I didn't completely understand the lesson behind us taking care of a living creature. I wasn't sure what the purpose behind the lesson was. Of course I understood Jack as well. It was like taking care of a kingdom. And since it was close to the end of the year and Jack hadn't been here long he hung out over the weekend with Shawn and I to take care of a fish. Or however long it was we were supposed to. And now it was Riley's turn. Auggie was in the classroom with both his parents wearing a detective outfit. He was worried about Chelsea and when she was coming because he was excited to take it home. The fish was fine it had been with us. But how long could a fish last between all of us. And that's just one fish. If that's so there's no way we had the original.

His mother tried to calm her son down saying that Chelsea was fine and that Farkle took great care of her. And of course Maya wanted to know why we were doing this because there was always a reason behind the things he does. And behind his lessons and activities. But Riley was excited it was her turn to take the fish home for a week and didn't want Maya to ruin this for her.
Good because if you take good care of Chelsea she will have survived the whole class. Then it's as good as done Riley said because you know how good I at taking care of pets. And then Farkle came in with Chelsea and set her down on the desk claiming it was Chelsea.

Why would he say that unless it really hadn't been. Jack and I are wonderful with pets as much as we are normally great with people that's what princes and princesses are supposed to do. Take care of all living things. I knew a nervous reaction when I saw it. Auggie was so excited to have Chelsea go to their house for a week when he noticed he must've gone to Phil's fish store. Farkle nervously asked why he would even think to ask him that while trying to keep calm. He said he could tell because of the new castle in the bowl. Farkle was given a good job sticker and then Cory told Riley that she just had to feed her once a day and throw her a compliment every once in a while.

But at that point he wasn't just talking about fish anymore. And then Auggie was sprinkling something in the fish bowl. Then he handed The fish bowl to Riley told her she meant a lot to him and not to blow it as he set the bowl on the desk. Riley said she would take good care of her and then she pulled out her phone to take a picture. But she was worried because Chelsea was upside down. She was worried she killed the fish but somehow Auggie knew that this fish was a victim of foul play. It was officially a whodunit case. Especially since everyone in our class was a suspect. Even though Farkle was the last one to have the fish. And then suddenly everything in black and white and we were at the apartment.

And while Auggie was the detective on the case Ava was his assistant. Taking the notes. His Watson to her Sherlock. While Auggie and Ava were busy flirting and eating Gramm Crackers us girls with a tag along prince went to the fish store. Hey Maya. Hi Phil they greeted each other like old friends. You two know each other? Riley asked them. I'm very familiar with the whole class he said. But Riley was confused because he doesn't have a child of his own that goes to the school. You may say I have a whole school of kids here he told her. Riley and I found this interesting because we considered ourselves both sensitive and trusting. And Maya let that be known. I was not so trusting as Riley was I just had hoped and trust that people were more good than bad despite the way my parents treated me early on.

However, Phil said he liked people like us. Then asked if Riley had a debit card as a joke. Maya made sure he knew it wasn't funny. Then Riley said it was about our class fish. He said he hadn't seen the two of us as he turned to Jack and I. Well I understand that you wouldn't know me. I'm new here. But you haven't seen us cause we had no reason to be here. I see. He slowly nodded at us. That explains so much about yourselves and the rest of the class. The 3 of us that had no idea that Chelsea had been replaced because we hadn't had to replace ours and Riley had thought Chelsea had lasted all year. She was very upset that the fish died upon having it be her turn. She felt that either she was dead or just tired and asked if he could help wake her up. But even I knew that the fish was dead. And then he told the dead fish it was a bright sunny day and time to wake up and eat French toast and then tapped the bowl and claimed she was dead.
