-"What?" Vanessa asked, visibly confused.

-"Michael died yesterday, and when I woke up he was there, and I think his spirit is haunting me."

-"Celeste I... are you okay?"

-"No, I'm not okay!"

-"Alright now, calm down, everything's alright, you're safe."

Vanessa always knew how to calm her little sister.

-"So, let's start over. Michael died yesterday. Today, when you woke up, you saw him..."

-"Yes, and we could talk. And, he could touch me."

-"Okay... can anyone else see him?"

-"No, cause when his mother came by she couldn't see him nor hear him."

-"Am I the only one that knows about this?"

-"No, Father Benjamin knows too. He's the Father of our neighborhood."

-"What did he say about it?"

-"Well he told me that it could either be my brain processing the death or that he could be haunting me, to still stay in touch with human life."

-"Haunt you?"

-"Yes."

-"Okay... um.."

-"You think I'm crazy don't you? Of course you do, everybody thinks I'm crazy" the widow said as her voice breaks and tears appear in her eyes.

-"No Celeste, I don't think you're crazy." her sister replied and got up to hug her.

-"Even Miss Haynes told me I should go to a therapist and Michael keeps yelling at me so now our neighbours think I'm crazy because I talk to myself."

-"Hey, it's okay." Vanessa said, tightly hugging her beloved younger sister. "We'll figure it out together, tomorrow. You need sleep, come on" the elder said, bringing Celeste upstairs, into the guest bedroom.

Celeste wiped her etears off her face as her sister brought her upstairs, holding her hand firmly. They said goodnight to one another and the widow dozed of to sleep quickly, in the big comfortable guest bed.

The following day, Celeste woke up at 10pm, well rested and happy to be with her sister. She noticed a small pile of clothes on a chair next to the room door, left by her sister earlier this morning. As the youngest changed from her sweatpants, she couldn't help but notice a ravishing smell of pancakes, floating around the house. Once Celeste was done changing, she made sure her hair looked okay and headed downstairs. She sat down on the kitchen stool and watched her older sister make the pancakes.

-"Good morning." Celeste said.

-"Good morning, how did you sleep?"

-"Really well actually, thank you."

-"Great!"

-"Where's Jeremy and Hannah?"

-"Oh they're at Jeremy's parents house. I didn't go because I wasn't feeling too well. They're coming back tomorrow."

Jeremy and Vanessa met in highschool where they fell in love at first sight. Since freshman year, they have dreamed of starting a family together. They got married at when they were both twenty years old. Two years after, Vanessa got pregnant with Hannah, Celeste's niece. The aunt and niece have a very strong bond because she was the one who would babysit her most of the time, since the young parents were still studying.

Even tho Michael was still around, Celeste couldn't help but to feel empty. The Michael that was eating all the cookies wasn't the one she fell in love with. This Michael is mean and aggressive. He's self-absorbed and arrogant. The one she fell in love with was sweet and kind. He had good manners and valued respect. Getting rid of Michael's ghost would be painful, but Celeste knew that it was what she needed to do.

-"Alright eat up Cece, cause after we're going to church."

-"What for?"

-"To finish the conversation you started with Father Benjamin." Vanessa said as a smile appeared on her face.
