Bryan's New Girl

Someone started shaking me awake from my peaceful sleep in this soft bed. I grumbled rolling over and squinting one eye open seeing Chloe sitting up in the bed phone in hand opened to something. "Chlo...what's going on. It's...8 in the morning." I looked at the clock on the nightstand still feeling tired from the concert last night. Luke's manager took us all out for drinks afterwards with Luke insisting on paying the bill.

Chloe flashed her phone screen in my face where I gasped in horror at an article about Luke. A picture of us kissing is underneath the title in caps. "Not Long After Divorce Bryan Has A New Girl." Throwing the phone back at her I flopped over burying my face in the pillows groaning at the sight. I didn't think the media would get their hands on that picture that quick. The guy on lights last night should have cut them off immediately before anyone had the chance to snap a picture. Or better yet I should have not kissed him back. But then the headline would be saying Luke got rejected and I'd look like a monster then.

"What am I gonna do now Chloe. I'm not prepared or comfortable being in the spotlight...not yet anyway." I grumbled holding a pillow over my face.

She laid down pulling it down from my eyes giving me a weak look. "Does Luke know that Y/n?"

Rolling over to face her I smack my hands against the pillows. "We haven't even had our first official date yet. Cause we're not counting the night at the cabin at official date!" Flopping over I opened my lock screen and felt my face heat up at the picture of us kissing quickly turning the screen off.

Chloe grabbed my shoulder turning me back over so I'd look at her. "Go talk to him. He's literally on the other side of the wall." Slumping my shoulders I climbed out of the bed not caring really that I'm wearing an old shirt from college and some gym shorts. Not even really brushed my hair either. Opening the door I walk over knocking three times until I got an answer.

"Luke, we need to talk. It's Y/n, Luke!" The door opened and I covered my eyes seeing him only wearing shorts but no shirt. He quickly closed the door opening it again wearing a random grey tea shirt seeing my face is burning red.

"Sorry about that. What do we need to talk about?" He asked letting me inside his room while I scrolled through my phone finding the article Chloe showed me.

He slumped down on the bed reading the article I'd say like twice before actually looking me in the eye. Running my fingers through my hair I just paced back in forth in front of him. I don't regret that he kissed me last night. I just didn't think it would happen this fast. "Y/n, I'm sorry about kissing you the other night. I just was in the moment and so I thought-" I cut him off throwing my hands up shaking my head at him.

"You don't have anything to apologize for Luke. You were my first kiss and I love that. It's just that.. " I trailed off feeling embarrassed so I looked at my bare feet instead.

He gets to his feet tilting my chin up with his thumb so I'd look him in the eye. He has worry clearly in his eyes. "You can tell me anything. I won't judge you for it. You know that right?"

Nodding my head I play with the end of my shirt that he remembered I did when I was nervous. Slowly releasing a breath I finally met his gaze. "I'm a shy person, Luke. I've never been comfortable in the spotlight like you are especially on stage. You're an amazing guy from what I've seen the last couple of days so I don't want to mess things up...by saying that I wished I never kissed you just so it wouldn't end up in the paparazzis hands the very next morning. I-"

He cuts me short holding my face in his hands pressing his lips onto mine slowly. Wrapping my arms around his neck I kissed back until he broke the kiss resting his forehead against mine. "I'll talk to my manager tomorrow. To see if he can get it taken down. If you're not ready I get that. Not everybody instantly loves the spotlight like me. Just tell me what you want and I'll do my best to make you happy." He smiled before I leaned up on my toes kissing him for the first time ever. He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me closer to him smiling into the kiss.

I broke it needing air yet I barely had time when he picked me up throwing me on the bed. Jumping in right beside me smiling still. Rolling over onto my side to face him I leaned over kissing him again and he kisses back running a hand through my hair until his phone went off making us both groan. "I swear that better not be Chloe wanting to know what happened." I mumbled when he sat up answering his cellphone getting mad for only being on the phone for a short time.

"Caroline no - look it's your weekend with the boys I can't just - I'm in Vegas you can't drop them off.." He hung up the phone running his hands through his hair falling back onto the bed.

I shifted so I'm sitting up against the pillows waiting a few minutes before daring to ask the question. "What was that all about?"

He flipped over resting his chin in the palm of his hand eyeing me. "My ex wife Caroline. She decided that the boys should go see my new girl. So she's bringing them here on a plane then flying back home." He didn't seem happy about the situation but I don't want to pry into his past. I knew he had a wife and kids but it's going to be really awkward when I have to meet them all the sudden.

Luke sits up moving hair from my eyes sighing heavily. "I know we're not doing things in the traditional way but would you be okay meeting my kids?" He asked with a weak smile hoping I'd agree. Intertwining his hand with mine I smile hearing someone banging on the door outside.

"Come on lovebirds it's time for breakfast!" Chloe hollered on the other side causing me and Luke to start cracking up in laughter of what we were about to tell her this morning.
