"Carter what's going on. Where's Chloe?" He blurted out finally through the phone. "Something's wrong with the baby. It's trying to come out too early."

Those words kept running through my mind the whole flight where I barely got any sleep from Paris to home. Luke rushed us to the hospital as quickly as we possibly could. Bolting to the front desk I try not to cry to the nurse who seemed concerned for me. "Chloe...Chloe Blake. What's her room number?" She points down a hallway so Luke puts a hand on my back leading me down there before I went into the wrong room since my emotions are everywhere. Entering her room she was laying in the hospital hooked up to multiple machines. Carter is obviously at her bedside until he noticed us.

Rushing past him I grasped my friends hand terrified while Luke tried to calm Carter down who kept apologizing about interrupting our Honeymoon. "Chloe I'm sorry this is happening. What did the doctor say...are you okay?"

She squeezed my hand intertwined with hers sniffing a little since she was crying earlier too. "The doctors supposed to come in a few minutes and say what's wrong. I'm just sorry this happened on your honeymoon-"

"Chloe you and Carter need to stop apologizing about that. Luke understands why I need to be here. I mean heck he demanded his manager get a private plane so we could get here. You're so important that I would drop anything for." I cut her short squeezing my hand in hers before foosteps entered the room where we saw her doctor.

She sits the chart down on the small table taking a seat in her rolling chair. "Mrs. Blake, I must tell you that you are going to have to give birth two months before your due date. The best choice in this situation is done by C-section. I'll just need the approval of you and whichever one of you are her husband." She gestures her pen from Carter then to Luke.

Carter raised his hand in the air slowly. "I'm the boyfriend." She nodded stepping outside to give us a few minutes to talk. Slumping down in one of the chairs in the lobby Luke came out of her room sitting beside me.

"I calmed him down best I could but I understand why he's freaking out. A parent will do anything for their child." He sighs laying his head against the wall. Laying my on his chest he runs his fingers through my hair resting his chin ontop of my head.

"I can't believe my best friend is gonna have her baby in a few hours. It seems crazy to me, Luke."

He lifted his head up looking down at me wiping away some tears that had fallen down my face. "Hey now she's gonna get through this. And you're gonna be okay. I'm right here for you always babygirl."

For a couple hours while they prepared her for surgery we just sat there in silence because I didn't know what to say at this point. I hated to imagine what Carter was going through considering he loves her and it's his child in danger. The door opened where we entered the room hugging Carter instantly who was crying. Luke then hugs Chloe allowing me to have the last hug with her. "I love you Chloe. You're gonna be okay you and the baby."

She wrapped her arms around me tightly sniffing through tears. "I love you too Y/n." The nurses rolled her into the surgery room where I started spinning my wedding ring on my finger.

Luke took Carter down to the cafeteria to get something to eat leaving me alone with my thoughts which makes me pull out my phone finding videos and pictures of me and Chloe. My favorite one is of us at Luke's concert which seems like a lifetime ago now. "Y/n, look at the camera. This has to be recorded. We are officially here to see Luke on your 21st birthday!"

The recording of me standing directly in front of the stage. "Chloe no. Stop it. You don't have to record this."

I try snatching her phone from her. "You'll thank me for this later. Who knows maybe he will pull you up on stage during a song?"

Wiping away tears that fall underneath my eyes I sucked in a breath not knowing what I would do if I lost her. A few hours later Luke came back wrapping his arms around me in a happy hug spinning me around where I gasped getting sat back down on my feet. "She's okay. Carter's in recovery with her now. Come on I'll take you to her." He leads me down the hallway into her room to see her sleeping peacefully. Meaning that she's okay

"It's a boy. We named him Luther. The nurses say he will have to remain in the hospital for a while since he was born earlier. I'm sorry I'm gonna have to take the first few months off man." Carter sighed giving his friend a disappointed look.

Luke pulled him in for a hug patting him on the back. "You've got nothing to worry about. You're family comes first. I understand that more than anyone. Just take our those two."

Carter and I embrace in a hug goodbye before we left the hospital that next morning. Luke parked the truck in the driveway helping me out and we grabbed the suitcases heading inside his house. "I'll give you the tour tomorrow. Let's just get some sleep darling." He suggested through a long yawn climbing into the bed. Switching into one of Luke's shirts I smile crawling into the bed with him completely tired.

"Thank you for bringing me to her. It means a lot." Cuddling into his chest he kisses my forehead before drifting off to sleep with me in his arms.
