Hey y'all decided to add some more to this story rather than start a new one.

Y/n is you the reader
Leia is your and Luke's daughter
- just a reminder

Walking into my publishers office we hadn’t met for a few months now and I knew what it was likely about. The popularity of the first book was going down and I hadn’t done much writing after little Leia had been born. So if I wanted to keep making side money and not just rely on Luke’s funds I needed to come up with some more books. Chloe and Carter were watching all the kids until I came back from my meeting. “Sorry I am almost late, Mrs. Cooper.”

“Oh don’t worry about it. I could hear your daughter's voice on the phone so I understand.” She had her auburn hair up in a bun.

Sitting down in front of her desk I leaned back in my chair. “So what are the ratings now? I know they are declining. I have just been busy. I became a mother of three and a wife all in the span of a few years.”

“That’s something that actually might help you get some more stories out.” Angela looks at me with a hopeful smile.

I raised a brow. “How so?”

“Well you didn’t have this going for you when we first talked about your future career…” She turned her computer screen around for me to see multiple articles about me and Luke. She clicked her mouse through photos of us at the concerts, some when the kids and I were in the music videos, obviously some that Chloe had put on Instagram and others taken by the reporters. “You have the advantage here that most reporters will never have. You can give a somewhat inside scoop into a country music star's life.”

“I suppose…what did you have in mind?” I put my hands in my lap seeing where her head was at.

She leans forward on her desk getting more serious than I cared to admit. “I want you to write everything juicy, everything that most people couldn’t find on the internet for themselves. Give me the details of your romance or specifically if you and Luke - oops I mean Tucker.”

“You’re saying you want me to reveal anything possibly personal or bad about my husband for a book to keep things interesting.” I raised my voice wrapping my arms around myself feeling uncomfortable.

Angela didn’t seem fazed even though she sent me a half smile hearing how it sounds. “Y/n, I wasn’t meaning it that way.”

“No you just meant anything about your family that might be interesting let’s spill it out to the world. Well I’m sorry but I can’t let you be my publisher anymore. I love Luke too much to potentially ruin the career he has worked so hard for.” I snatched my bag up and stormed out of her office without another word.

My phone began ringing in my pocket while I walked away from the office building on the streets of Nashville. Putting the phone to my ear I heard my husband’s voice. “Hey baby, how did the meeting go?”

“I don’t really wanna talk about it.” I ran a hand down my face trying to not throw my phone over how angry I was over this.

Luke could hear something was wrong with my tone of voice. “Okay I won’t ask too many questions. But what has you upset?”

“My stupid publisher asked me to basically ruin your career by writing about personal things the whole world doesn’t need to know…unless we want them too of course. Anyway I stormed out and I am not working with her. How was your day?”

“It was pretty good. We just edited some stuff for Farm tour coming up in a few months. But I do have something that will make you happy, Leia will freak out too.” He responds.

I paused, not sure what he meant by that. Whatever it was I didn’t have a good enough guess so I asked him. “What have you done, Luther?”

“I talked with my good buddy Dustin. Telling him how Leila’s birthday is coming up this week and he offered to have you and her sing on stage with him.”

I squealed almost jumping out of my boots since he was my second favorite country artist after Luke obviously. I hadn’t gotten a chance to meet him yet I had a few other artists here in Nashville. “Luke, you better not be pulling my leg or I will kick your ass when I get back to the hotel room.”

“I’m not playing a prank on you I swear. I haven’t told Leia yet since we just finished the phone call.” He explained and I could tell he was over the moon about it too. We wouldn’t be surprised if Leia said she wanted to be like her daddy when she was older. She would dance around the living room seeing every country song she knew by heart.

I couldn’t help the grin that crossed my face having this news make my bad morning so much better. We didn’t have shows for two weeks since her birthday was tomorrow. “She is going to be so excited. I’ll see you at home and we have to tell her together.”

The next morning Luke and I were up before everybody else for once in our lives. Since we both enjoyed sleeping in when we could expect for today since it’s our youngest daughter’s birthday finally. Luke always tries his best to not play favorites but with Leia being his own daughter it is kinda hard. “Can I just go wake her up already?”

“Luke, it’s eight in the morning. You know she doesn’t wake up till nine. You’ll just have to wait..especially since we need her to stay up for her big birthday surprise.”

He huffed placing his hands on the kitchen countertop. “I just don’t like waiting around. I wanna tell her the surprise so bad. Considering I have everything already set up for weeks now.”

“And like I said we have to wait a few more minutes. But you can go wake the boys. I want them downstairs when we wake her up.” I kissed his cheek and he went upstairs to the boys rooms waking them up giving me time to get her breakfast slice of cake out of the fridge and sit it on the island.

I heard footsteps running down the stairs seeing Tate and Bo and shortly after Luke was carrying Leia on his shoulders. “Morning mommy!’

“Hey, what did I just tell you, Luther Bryan?” I scolded my husband with my hands on my hips when he sat her down in front of her birthday cake.

Luke came over, wrapping his arms around me from behind kissing my cheek. “Forgive me baby.”

“Anyway we have something to tell you-”

Luke came around standing right beside me not wasting a second longer. “You and your momma are gonna preform for Dustin lynch at his concert tonight!”

“Thank you, thank you, thank you daddy.” Leia squealed leaping up into his waiting arms and he kisses her forehead smiling.

I ruffed her short hair not thinking about how yesterday started out for me. “Happy birthday, Leia.” Luke and I are a great pairing together.
