The Nights Not Over

Chloe and the boys ran out to us as we made it through the crowd to the tour bus. Luke has his arm draped over my shoulder still smiling that I actually got on stage with him. Tate rushed to me so I picked him up in my arms grinning. "How did you like the show?"

Bo throws his hands up in the air kicking his boots in the gravel road. "It was cool. I can't believe daddy had you sing with him."

I smirked towards their father who shrugged his shoulders putting Tate on the ground looking to my best friend. "Chloe would you mind watching the boys tonight. I owe this lady a date."

Chloe nodded her head yes grabbing each boys hands walking away. She passed calling over her shoulder with a smirk. "Don't have too much fun tonight you two."

Rolling my eyes I blushed not believing that we would sleep together on the first date. Luke's manager had gotten us a nice truck and he drove us out to this restaurant. He opened my door for me leading us upstairs to an open eating area that we had all to ourselves. "I would have worm a dress tonight if I had known this is how we would end the night." Luke smiled grabbing my chair then sitting down in his own smiling. He removes his ball cap hanging it on the back of the chair.

"Whether you're dressed like you are now or in a dress. I'll still find you beautiful." My cheeks turn a little red as a waitress with light brown hair walked up. She hands us the menus grinning excitedly. I can't say I blame her. Tonight she would go home telling her friends I served dinner to Luke Bryan.

"What can I get you to drink?" She asked the two of us.

I scanned the menu answering her. "I'll take a Coke." Luke ordered a beer before she left sending him a wink.

I accidentally gripped the menu in my hands where Luke grabbed my hand giving me a reassuringly smile. "Don't worry about her. The only girl I care about is right in front of me. So what are you thinking of getting?" He changed the subject referring to the menu.

Shaking my head I tucked hair behind my ear. "I was considering a steak but that's too much on a first date..."

He shakes his head giving me a smile when the waitress came back with our drinks. "We can split it. I don't mind Y/n." I held my mouth opened at his offer before nodding my head slowly yes so he told the waitress exactly that.

Leaning back in my chair we could see the stars since we were this high up. Everywhere else in this city you couldn't see them so I could see why he picked this spot. "I'm sorry it took us this long to have a date. I was planning to ask you out after the party. But then I got the call from my manager." He apologized rubbing the back of his neck nervous.

"It's fine Luke. I wouldn't have agreed to go on tour with you if I wasn't okay with a crazy schedule. I'm been having fun during this trip."

He grinned reaching across the table holding my hand. "So have you figured out what you're next book could be about yet?"

Shaking my head I shrug my shoulders before the waitress came back with the steak and an extra plate. "Possibly but it might be a dumb idea.."

We started eating in silence until he broke it. I take a drink sitting my glass on the table. "Lay it on me. I'll be your judge." He grinned when I ate some steak raising a brow to the country singer across from me. Chloe doesn't even know about the idea yet but she would flip out when she hears it.

"It's about well...us. How you and I met. But I'd change the names so it can actually become a book." Luke nodded pointing his fork at me.

"That's not a dumb idea. People won't believe it happened so it should be a good story." I smiled feeling my cheeks turn red when he smiled bigger. So that's how the evening went with us talking about me and his upcoming songs. Finally the waitress came back and I reached to get my money yet he laid a 100 dollar bill on the table smiling at the girl. "There's an extra on tip." He gets to his feet taking my hand in his. We walked down the streets since we had parked the truck a little way from the restaurant. It gives us time to look around at everything. Some people honked their horns for Luke making me smile.

My eyes catch sight of a shooting star up in the sky so I pull him to a stop closing my eyes for a moment. Opening my eyes again Luke asked with a shrug of his shoulders. "What did you wish for darlin'?"

I hit his chest starting to walk forward. "If I tell you it won't come true."

He snagged my wrist drawing me back to his embrace smiling where he suddenly kissed me. "Well I'll tell you mine came true. I'm standing in front of the most beautiful woman. And I have a question for her.."

He squeezes my hand getting down on a knee where I giggled at what it looks like to people around us. Like he's about to ask me to marry him on the street corner in Texas. "Y/n L/n, will you be my girlfriend?"

He asked holding both my hands in his. I felt some happy tears falling down when I answered his question. "Yes. Yes of course I will."

He rose to his feet picking me up and twirling me around in fits of laughter. I gripped his flannel shirt once he put my feet on the ground where I leaned up on my toes kissing him deeply. He runs one hand through my loose hair until my phone rang in my pocket. Breaking the kiss I saw it was a video call from Chloe so I answered. "Hey lovebirds. Thought you would want to see the boys are asleep. And Luke you better treat her right or you'll have to deal with me." Chloe made a fist to the camera showing that Tate and Bo were sleeping in the bed behind her. Luke takes the phone from my hands flashing her a smirk.

"News flash Chloe she's gonna be carrying my baby soon." She gasped wanting to slap him so hard so I snatched it back before he made her more mad.

"He's kidding Chlo. We'll be back at the hotel in an hour. Nothing to worry about." Luke hung up the phone on here where we interviewed hands once again walking down the streets with a peaceful evening for our first date.

Y/n and Luke finally had their first date.
