Coach has me be their tutor to make sure they pass their classes to stay on the team. They had a game tonight and begged me to go even though I didn't want to dad doesn't need me home asap tonight so I said yes. I was scared for Koby as he was the smallest on the team, I trust him but this is the first time we are going against a school and they were very strong from what the coach said. Classes flew by and the guys got ready, I walked to the field and found a seat.

I spotted the other school as they were already on the field chatting. I place my jacket down as I wasn't cold when my ears perk to people talking "hey check out the hottie over there.'' Not caring, I rolled my eyes as classmates filled the home team's side. The game starts and I cheer on the guys I was sitting not far from the bench seeing the coach shooting our moves to the team. Koby got put on and now I was scared I gave him a smile and thumbs up and I went hyper-focused mode watching everything.

Koby had the ball and was running for the end. He got tackled by the team captain, all my ears hear was Koby screaming in pain. oh, I was pissed, I leap the railing dropped to the grass and sprinted to Koby. I hear the Captain laugh at him, I pick up the pace when someone shouts.

"CAPTAIN LOOK OUT!" But it was too late.

Thanks to all the training Ren gave me over the years I was hella strong and fast. It also helps that the guys train me when they want to train out of school hours. He turns to see me as I full body slam into him making him stumble and fall back on his ass. I then ran to Koby, he held his arm so knew that's what broke.

"KOBY, try and relax," the medical team comes and rushes him to the hospital. I pace as Zeno grabbed me and hugged me now, he was trying to calm me down.

"Weak ass he shouldn't be on the team," I hear someone from the other team whisper.

I growl but guess the guys heard it too but they kept me from ripping the bastard up. They knew my past as I told them some of it after a year of knowing them and I was protective of my first ever real friends. I finally calmed down and I noticed their captain was looking at me, I got the creeps and went back to my seat. They kept playing as I texted Koby's parents telling them what happened to their son. I told them about the hospital and asked for updates.

After an hour the game ended and we won, I jumped up cheering and laughing. I get a text from Koby's mom saying he's out and awake with a broken arm and needs to be in a cast for months. I leap down to the field and get the coach letting him read the details of Koby. He thanks me and I go to the guys telling them the details of what's happening.

"She said we all can come to see him just to bring his things from the locker room," I tell them and leave to change.

I leave and wait by Max's car for them to come back. I lean on the hood looking at my phone when I spot several pairs of shoes around me. I ignore them and keep doing my thing showing I am not interested in what they had to say.

"Come on baby talk to me," One said.

I look up to see their captain smirking at me, "piss off dipshit not interested" I look down to my phone.

"Awe come on, you need a real man, not a weak ass kid," He said laughing.

I put my phone in my pocket and stood up looking at him with a smile, I spotted the guys running over. I grin, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt and kissing him with my knuckles.

"Fuck off you think it's ok hurting my friends think again, fuck off and never speak to me again." I walk around and the guys put Koby's things in the truck and we all pile into the car. It took no time to get to the hospital and finding his mom, she led the way to his room.

Koby was up and eating some pizza, he smiled seeing us as we rushed over. He shows the cast he got green, he is upset he has to sit out the rest of the season but hopes to be in again next year. Julien told him what I did to the captain and it made him laugh hard. I smile seeing him back to his bubbly self again, we hang around for a little while before we have to go as we still had school.

He was gonna stay overnight and might be back to school in the morning or afternoon. We say our byes and Max gives us all a lift home, I was the last and Max made sure I knew Koby was gonna be fine. The next day I was out the door getting into Max's car when Koby sent a text.

'Staying home mom won't let me leave the house' to all of us in a group chat.

'Ok, we can bring your school work over after' I send back as Max dives to school.

I'm in the middle of getting my license as Dad is teaching me more than the dumb instructor is. We got to class and it was boring just repeating as we had a sub, but in history class the teacher had me sit at the front and teach about gang history in the city.

I stay quiet acting like I know nothing about this stuff as I hated my past with my birth family. It was mainly boring stuff and she also taught us to stay safe and away from the bad parts of the city. We just talk the rest as the lunch bell rings and off we go. I sat with the guys and their girlfriends, eating the lunch dad made me. I got a text. I checked it and it's Koby. 'Hope class wasn't boring' I chuckled and put my phone away and just listened in on their chat.

I love their girlfriends. We do a lot more girly things like nails together. I'm also a tomboy so some days I don't like girly things. Growing up with Judas and Ren kinda made me this and working in the casino and training to fight is fun to me. We hang out and have similar interests like movies and music. We all hang out at the movies like every week. Koby and I fell asleep one time while watching some romance movie the girls picked. They took pictures of us and teased us a lot as we were cuddling one another.

"Hey Skylar, why haven't you dated anyone yet?" Elion's girlfriend asked me.

It makes me blush "I just haven't found the right person yet." I start to rub the back of my neck.

"I bet you'll find one soon enough," Max's girlfriend said.
