juliet sighed as she saw zayn and gigi's comments on her post. the casual flirting disgusted her, though she didn't understand why she was feeling this way. deep feelings of jealously fell deep within her chest before she closed her phone and listened as a knock come on her door.
it was late at night, jasmine was sleeping peacefully within her bed but, clearly, zayn wasn't doing the same thing. juliet sighed as she stood up to walk towards the door and open it, throwing her hair into a ponytail before letting him in the room. "got some explaining to do?" asked juliet.
zayn scrunched his brows before looking over at juliet, holding his hands up in defence to having no clue on what juliet was talking about.
maybe the girls were right. perhaps the paparazzi photos of the three of them were one thing, an unfortunate mistake that was easily wronged. but as hours went on, it dawned on juliet how true the statements were.
as much as juliet wanted zayn to be happy, knowing jasmine will have a step-mom scared her. it was something normal in families, but to her, within her family, she never imagined jasmine calling someone else 'mum.' it broke her heart to even think of it.
"you and gigi... what? you back together or something?" zayn's hands ran over his face before he faced her: "i was coming here to ask about tomorrow's plans but fuck it. i'm going back to my room."
juliet chuckled: "that answers everything, zayn. you're back together, aren't you? i can't fucking believe it."
zayn turned to face juliet as he inched closer towards the door to leave the room. the whole situation was misunderstood. "we aren't together, jul. just talking," explained zayn before juliet rolled her eyes. she had never liked gigi, since the first time they met gigi decided to be cruel towards juliet. she didn't understand why either.
was it because she was the mother to zayn's daughter? did juliet threaten or mistaken gigi in any way beforehand? no. gigi generally despised juliet. plus, juliet was scared jasmine's face would be plastered everywhere with gigi because she wouldn't respect the privacy of the little girl.
"really? you're going to be here — with jasmine and i — and place effort within your ex-girlfriend. why do you ask what plans we're doing tomorrow, eh?" asked juliet. she knew the exact reason why he asked for tomorrow's plans: baking, walks, swimming perhaps.
