as they laid on the grass, they watched the sunset fall behind the view. the orange and yellow lights fading behind the green trees, creating beautiful images as jasmine laid in zayn's arms, playing with the string of his hoodie as she nearly fell unconscious in his lap.
"so peaceful," maria sighed as she sat besides ivy. juliet felt as zayn wrapped his arm around her waist so she would move closer to him, her head resting on his shoulder as they all continued to watch the night fall.
jasmine reached her hand out to juliet, placing them together on the coldness of the grass before juliet squeezed her tiny hand. moments like these were her favourite.
it was becoming cold and jasmine was tied under her blanket, one that she wanted to share with juliet before they both refused: "no, baby, you need to stay warm. i'll be fine." jasmine nodded her head before leaning against zayn's chest as she also watched the sunset with them.
from a long day of playing on the park with all of them, she was exhausted.
as the sun set, the moon began to rise. "mummy, i'm sleepy," jasmine said as it was followed by a yawn. "okay, let's go home, hm?" responded juliet as zayn stood, keeping jasmine within his hold before juliet began to pack their picnic bits.
"we're gonna head home. jasmine's getting tired," juliet announced before maria and ivy bid their goodbyes and the trio headed home.
"do you wanna put her to bed? i'll make some tea, yeah," zayn said when they arrived home, jasmine moving into juliet's arms. she walked up the stairs and into jasmine's room before changing her into her pyjamas, settling her into the toddler bed.
after a few lullabies, stroking jasmine's hair and kisses to her face, jasmine fell asleep. juliet turned off the light once closing the curtains and headed downstairs, watching as zayn made their cups of teas.
juliet returned to the living room before she put a film on the TV, anything that popped up first would be ideal so she did just that.
soon after, zayn walked in with tea and biscuits. juliet created space on the shoulder to allow him to sit, her legs going over his lap before he placed his hand on her thigh.
"good day, today.." zayn said, his accent thick before juliet smiled slightly at it. his thumb ran up and down her thigh as he handed her the tea, juliet instantly drinking it. "yeah, we should do it again," juliet replied.
zayn chuckled: "now that we live together. don't you think we should share a bed?"
juliet shook her head before laughing: "we live together. not a couple."
