Runaway

Lake day

The days are getting longer, the weather is getting hotter and since summer was just around the corner we decided to have a lake day. I have made it through my first 3 weeks of school without to many dramas, apart from the first day of school incident but we don't talk about that.

Everything had been going perfectly between me, Harper and the boys, we have had the best last few weeks together going shopping, surfing and going to multiple parties. I've also been hanging out and getting really close with James recently and we have even been to his secret spot a couple times, we have a lot more in common then you would think.

I had 2 people come up to me and tell me that looked familiar but i just brushed it off by saying that I get told that a lot.

We decided it was best to carpool to the lake so that we only needed a few designated drivers, there were about 8 of us going to the lake. Me, Harper, James, Blaze, Jacob, Kobe, Oliver and Lily.

Oliver was on the hockey team with the other boys and Lily was his girlfriend. Oliver wasn't that bad looking, he was really tan and had brown hair. His girlfriend is really nice but I haven't spent much time with her.

It was a decent size lake that was about an hour and a half  out of town and it was surrounded trees and bushes.

It was around 11 o'clock, Harper and I were getting ready before the boys came to pick us up. I had only been home for one of the weekends and that was only because I had to have a royal dinner.

It sucked because there were a bunch of royal leaders from all around the country there to great us and I had to wear a big fancy dress and have my hair and makeup done all nicely.

...

I put on a sage green bikini and found a matching claw clip to put my hair in. I then pulled a pair of denim shorts and a lose white shirt. Harper had found me an extra towel to bring and I had placed a couple of snacks in my bag so we wouldn't get hungry between now and when we ate dinner.

It was 12:38 when James's car pulled up out the front of Harpers house, Blaze was already sitting in the front so Harper and I slid into the back seat. 

We blasted some music and danced and sang the whole car ride.

We arrived at the lake and as soon as we pulled up I realised, this was the lake I used to come to when I lived back home. All the memories came rushing back into my head, the amount of times I came down here to cry, to read or to write without having to avoid everyone.

We walked down to the edge of the lake and placed our stuff down on the sand. I laid my towel out next to Harpers and sat down. There were a few other people there in small groups but that didn't bother us.

After about 3 minutes of waiting Kobe, Jacob, Lily and Oliver pulled up and parked next to James's car. We all ran over to the car as soon as it stopped moving and helped carry some stuff down onto the beach.

After a few minutes of getting settled we decided to go into the water, I quickly pulled my top off and I slipped out of my denim shorts.

I ran over to the esky which was on the other side of everyones stuff and grabbed out a cruiser to drink before I went in.

"Anyone want one?" I turned around to face the others indicating that I was talking about the drink.
