Fred comes to heaven

Fred heard something explode next to him.
Something weird happened... He couldn't hear, feel and see for a couple of seconds.

Then his senses came back and Fred was laying on a soft ground.
Slowly he opened his eyes. All he could see was some weird white light. This didn't look like Hogwarts...

Where was George? George didn't die, right? No, they had been fighting side by side... If George had died, Fred would had been dead as well.

Fred sat up and looked around. He was in some sort of big hall, with big comfy chairs and some people doing cool stuff with their wands. There was a man standing a few feet away from him. The figure turned around and Fred knew who it was at once.

'Sirius??! I... I don't understand. Where are we?'
'Where we are? This is heaven, Fred.'
'Am I... dead? How? And where is George?'

Sirius didn't answer, because at the same time a man stepped from behind Sirius. He had messy brown hair and looked exactly like...

'Harry? You died?! No way! Someone told me the most important thing was keeping you alive!'

But when Fred looked Harry in the eye, he saw this man couldn't actually be Harry.
'Hi Fred, nice to meet you. I'm James. I understand your mistake, Harry and I do look alike, except he got Lily's eyes.'

There was a redheaded woman standing next to James, and she had the exact same bright green eyes as Harry has.
'Hi! I'm Lily!' She said.

This was all very weird. One moment he had been fighting against some stupid Death Eaters and now he was standing here with Harry's parents and godfather.

Then randomly a man appeared on the ground next to Fred. This made it all even more confusing. The man opened his eyes and sat up.

James and Sirius randomly started to scream in joy. 'MOONYY!'

Moony? This was Remus, Remus Lupin. Why were they calling him Moony?

Remus stood up very fast and also started to scream.
'PADFOOT? PRONGS?'

What in Merlin's beard was happening? Fred didn't understand a single thing of this. The only Moony, Padfoot and Prongs Fred had ever knew were the makers of the Marauders Map. Remus, Sirius and James couldn't possibly know them, right?

Lily was standing next to Fred with a big smile on her face, when Remus gave her a big hug as well.
'Hi Lily!'
'Hi Moony!'

Fred couldn't handle his curiosity anymore.
'What's happening?! Do you guys know Moony, Padfoot and Prongs? How? How do you know them?'

Sirius smiled at him while Remus and James glanced at each other.
'Well, I guess we have some explaining to do...' Sirius started.
'Yes... yes... well...' Remus stuttered. He seemed to be doubting telling Fred what he knew.

But an excited James already started speaking. 'Oh just tell him!'
'Fred... We are the makers of the Marauders Map.' James said.

What? Fred's mind seemed not to be able to handle the confused emotions that were coming up.
'WHAT??! NO! That's not possible!'
'Well, I guess it is...' Remus smiled at him.
'No... There is now way...' Fred couldn't believe this. How?

'But wait a moment... I lived with you two!' Fred almost screamed at Remus and Sirius in excitement mixed with confusion.
'Ehmm. Yes... About that-'
Fred didn't listen. He had lived in the same house as these men while they were the makers of the Marauders Map?! He couldn't believe it.

'No way. George and I. We knew about the map! You knew we knew about it! Harry knew about it! And you just never told us?! You just... I can't believe it... Why did you never tell us?! We could have done great things with help of you!'

Remus explained. 'When I found out you three knew about the map, I was a teacher. I couldn't really possibly go and tell you, what if someone would have found out? And later after You Know Who came back we couldn't risk you doing stupid things...'

Fred smiled, while still confused, and a little angry because Sirius and Remus never told them. 'You guys are mad... Totally mad... How did you even managed to make that map?!'

'We can show you! But first... You and Moony have to see this.' James said, as he walked past a few people hugging a big brown dog.

The four of them followed James. At the other side of the room Fred saw a wall full of some sort of screens, in which he thought he could see what was happening on Earth. Crazy.

Then James stopped walking and pointed at a desk that seemed to be full of wands.
'Grab your own. Wave it and you'll see...'

Fred picked up his wand and waved it. A whole fountain of colored water came out of it.
'Here in Heaven you can do the most wonderful things.'

'Heaven was wonderful, very confusing, but really, really wonderful...' Fred thought. He would miss George, but with these guys, who turned out to be the Marauders, he could make the coolest pranks. And then when George would come to Heaven as well, they could do the biggest things ever.

Fred smiled.

He already couldn't wait to see George's reaction when he would found out he had lived in the same house as the legendary makers of the Marauders Map.
