A/N I know Minerva isn't working at Hogwarts anymore in the time James Sirius goes to Hogwarts, which is probably also the case for Hagrid, but it's just for the story! :)

The start of a new school year! Hagrid would arrive with the new students in a few minutes.

Minerva took a look at her watch as she heard excited voices appear from the Entrance Hall.

She walked through the door and saw all the cute little kids suddenly closing their mouths.

'Welcome to Hogwarts...' Minerva said, telling the kids the usual first year speech.

After the little speech she turned around and the first year's followed her into the Great Hall.

Minerva was always wondering what the new students would be like.
Every year there were a few students of which you just knew they would get in trouble as soon as possible, but Minerva wasn't scared of them anymore since she had already survived the worse ones.

She was talking about the Marauders of course... even though Fred and George Weasley were also high on the list.

Minerva smiled, she had caught herself missing the sweet boys for a split second.

Then the first student seated himself on the stool to get sorted into his house.
Minerva put The Sorting Hat onto the boys head and it screamed 'RAVENCLAW!'

Of course the Ravenclaw students bursted into a big applause as the boy took his seat at his house table.

This was how about 30 first years were sorted into their houses. They all seemed to be good students, even though that was also what Minerva had thought when Fred and George were sorted into Gryffindor.

Then she arrived at the 'P' on the students list.

'James Sirius Potter' it said.

Minerva's heart skipped a beat.

Now way... this boy was named after the 2 biggest rule breakers Hogwarts had known, he just had to be a trouble maker.

She had just put the Sorting Hat onto James head when it already shouted 'GRYFFINDOR!'

James would probably be a smart, gifted student, so it was nice to have him in Gryffindor, Minerva thought.

And even though he would get himself into a lot of trouble, Minerva couldn't say she wouldn't like this boy: she has always had a place in her heart for rule breakers from her own house.
