"Can't believe he had plans of eating that goldfish," Zylan laughed as he changed into his casual clothes.

"No wonder he named it Zoey," Zylith laughed. Jayden and Zoey used to fight like cats and dogs whenever they didn't agree on something.

"What happened to it though?"

"I really have no idea. I just found it dead."

"Really?" Zylan narrowed his eyes at her, waiting for her to say the truth.

"I'm not lying," she had a serious look for a second and then laughed.

"I really didn't kill it. I only flushed it down the toilet after it died."

Zylan's jaw dropped and then he laughed as she grinned.

"I still didn't kill it though."

They had dinner as a family and then Zylith and Zylan went to the balcony just to chill while their kids were asleep.

"The breeze feels so good," Zylan took a deep breath as he sat next to Zylith who had herself wrapped up in a cute pink blanket while holding her camera.

"It feels good to lay down without worrying about work and just go through my old photos," Zylith sighed.

"Your request for a leave went through?"

"Yes it did," she smiled at him.

"Great. Now I can have my meals cooked by you. I honestly don't like what the maids cook," he playfully rolled his eyes.

"They are professionals who have been to school to do their jobs. What makes my food special?" She raised a brow at him.

"The difference is love. You do it with love while they just do it to put food on their tables."

"What's the difference? Isn't the food still going to be put on a table?" She acted dumb for a second and he gave her a serious look.

"Relax I get your point," she laughed as she scooted closer to him.

"Don't worry. I'm going to prepare all your meals okay?" She rubbed his cheek and pecked his lips. He nodded and smiled at her.

"Can't believe I used to take all these pics," she chuckled as she went through the pictures.

"Why is Lucas in most of them?" Zylan asked, "didn't you have any other friends apart from him?"

"You sound jealous right now," she slightly smiled.

"I'm not jealous. Why would I be jealous when you're already mine?"

"That's exactly what you said when he came to visit but, you still acted jealous. Do you think he still has a chance?"

He sighed and then admitted, "sometimes I do."

His reply left her silent for a moment.

"You guys have a lot in common. You vibe more than we do and... you're still a badass. Why wouldn't he still stand a chance?" He sighed again.

"Since when does Zylan get insecure?" Zylith thought to herself as she carefully listened to what he had to say.

"And he thinks I'm a badass? I only see a frog when I look at myself lmao," she thought, "okay. Maybe I do look good but not that good."

"Nah I'm a black Barbie I shouldn't even argue about it."

"Babe," she sighed, "best friends are supposed to vibe and have stuff in common, that's why Lucas and I are best friends. But a life partner is different."
