They will tear you down then burn you at the stake as soon as they find out that you're Beautiful, Kind, Intelligent. Yet, she had chosen to be all three. A dangerous game, but never the less, she chose to continue. For that, she terrified people

She was lion hearted, she was clever, she was giving. You could ask for a match, just a singular match and she would give you a wildfire without an ounce of hesitation in her bones

And for that I feel that the most tragic thing in this realm is the kind of heartbreak that turns good people into monsters. She was terrifying either way. When she was kind and giving, she was terrifying for her never ending resilience

But after they destroyed her compassion, she was terrifying for her sudden change of heart. She had decided to be cruel, she decided to no longer be kind and giving. There was no longer serenity or silence inside of her

I sighed, the cold air of midgard filled my lungs. I hopped off the low hanging tree branch, I landed with a dull thud. Dirt covered my feet, making them slightly dirty

The leather satchel hung loosely over my shoulder, there wasn't much inside the satchel. A bit of herbs I'd collected and my half eaten lunch. I noticed a bunch of wolfsbane near my feet. I quickly pulled out my knife, crouching down and cutting a bundle from the ground

I put the bundle in the satchel, closing the satchel back up and starting to walk in the direction of the house. There was a soft crunch of leaves beneath my feet, the leaves were bright and beautifully colored in the woods

A woman named Freya had found me a few months ago and took me under her wing. She lived in the woods, her house was under some kind of turtle. Most of the trees around Freyas house had bright red leaves and orange grass

The woods that surrounded the house were some how protected, I'd assume a protection ward.

I quietly hummed, the same tune from a few months ago. It felt even more familiar now, every time I was out in the woods I hummed the tune

So beautiful, the deceivingly sweet melody, yet it felt like a symphony of agony. I yawned, continuing to walk

I could hear the rushing water of the river to my right, I neared the part of the river I had to cross. I stopped at the edge of the river, securing my satchel before I hopped on to the first rock

The late afternoon sunlight shone down, warming my skin and soothing my scarred body. I continued to hop from rock to rock, carefully picking my movements as I jumped

I reached the other side, starting to walk alongside the river. The sound of the rushing water was comforting in a way, I wasn't sure why, it just was

I closed my eyes as I walked silently, Freya had thought me to read my surroundings based on sound and touch. I could navigate pretty well with my eyes closed, Freya said it would help if I was ever blinded by enemies

I could see the back of Freyas house through the thick trees and bushes. The garden behind the house was lush and full of vegetables, herbs and other assorted ingredients

I stopped as I noticed a very tall man picking up white flowers from the garden. I crouched down, observing

I quieted my breath and remembered what Freya had once told me, I hear her instructions in my head "If you see someone you don't recognize in the woods, you will run, especially if they have tattoos on their body."
