Disgusted, that's how she'd felt about me. I didn't understand exactly why but I believe it was because I was to similar to her. We shared avian blood, she hated that part of me but loved both mammal parts of me. I believe she was embarrassed by the avian in our blood, she had loved my younger brother and sister because they were so...refined.

I had always wondered why she looked at me with disgust and anger, but the older I got the more I understand. To her I was a walking tragedy. Nothing more than that, well, maybe bit more. A tool, but I don't believe I was special to her compared to Heidi and Hedin. To her, we were all tools, but some of us were more important.

The sudden imbalance of the boat made me wobble slightly; I rebalanced before attempting to locate what happened. I realized Kratos had stopped rowing, looking in the direction of an odd glowing bulb that was hanging from a branch

"What is that?" I asked

"Yggdrasil's dew, it's from the world tree." Kratos replied, I hummed after turning to take in the sights

Alfheim was very elegant compared to the other realms; The only draw back was that there was always war, dark and light eleven's were apparently always fighting over the light and it seemed the dark elves were winning as of now

"Did you say something father?" Atreus asked

"No, I did not." Kratos replied roughly, he didn't address Atreus's question and further

Kratos had instead rowed us right infront of the roots that the dew hung from, it was right infront of my face
"Grab it."

I grabbed onto it, twisting it, it popped off the branch with a deep snap. It still glowed a bright blue, there was an odd smell coming off of it. I inhaled deeply

"It smells- it smells like... memories." I spoke quietly

"Huh?" Atreus looked at me with confusion

"I can't explain it, it just does." I replied, reaching back from my perch on the bow of the boat, handing him the dew. Atreus stared at the fruit looking item, sniffing it cautiously.

"It doesn't smell odd, just like... well dew." Atreus shrugged and handed Kratos the dew. Kratos seemed to look at the dew, a judging look as he gave a slight sniff

"Hmm." Kratos hummed, he stuffed the dew into his bag

"Did the dew smell weird?" Atreus asked, Kratos didn't answer and just kept rowing

"Huh? Did you say something?" Atreus asked. I looked back at him, he was looking at me. I shook my head as a negative. Atreus hummed in response, a slightly confused look on his face maybe even a bit of worry

Kratos was still rowing, we were headed towards a cave entrance, I wondered what was on the other side.

"Huh?" Atreus asked again, I looked back, once again

"Again, we said nothing." Kratos replied

"Well, I could've sworn you s-" Atreus's speaking was cut off and replaced with yell of pain. My head snapped back and the boat shifted, I almost fell over board but rebalanced my self. I noticed that Kratos was holding Atreus's shoulder, who was clutching his head and kneeled in the bed of the boat
