I didn't want to know whether I was loved, and I didn't want to admit to myself that I was not. Still there is this horror of realizing I was cast away, thrown out by the person who was supposed to love me. Yet, I still long and desire for the love that I was never given

Freya may not be the exact love I was looking for, but she is a perfect substitute. A fires a fire when your heart's cold and rigid with ice

Freya spent most of her day taking care of Atreus but would work on my agility when he was sleeping. I'd gotten faster then when Freya and I had first met, I was also pretty good at defense and target practice.

Freya had sent me to go get my daggers sharpened by Brok, she'd sent me with a bag of hack silver. I didn't want to take it but Freya had insisted and told me "I don't need it anyways"

I walked along the trail, I'd never really been outside the enchanted forest since Freya and I met

I'd already met Brok before, quite a bit ago, before I'd met Freya. That was a while back

|Flashback|

I walked through the forest mindlessly, the monster called hunger tore through my abdomen, the aching pain bothered me

It had been a few days, I hadn't bothered to stay at the cave I found. Not for long anyways, I had stayed for a few days but felt like I was being watched, so I'd left relatively quickly

Moving from place to place was difficult with injuries. But I used some herbs, runes, magic circles and spells to subside the pain and heal any wounds

I stopped as I noticed a tent in the distance and I could hear the sound of pounding. Metal on metal, a deep sound that rang through my ears

My eyes strained to see the tent through the trees, it look like a... blacksmith?

I dropped to a crouch, creeping through the trees and bushes to get a closer look. The man seemed to be making a sword, he looked strange, having blue skin

I crept closer, observing the man more closely. He was a dwarf, a blue dwarf that seemed slightly angry

I wondered what he was so angry about, there didn't seem anything to be particularly upset about

The sun was shining, it wasn't as cold as it normally was, there was a smell of food lingered in the air, signifying he had probably eaten recently

He didn't seem to dangerous, I stood up and got back on the trail. I approached the tent, he seemed to notice me

His eyes seemed to examine me, the man stared at my horns and my wings then his eyes flickered to the twin daggers in my hands

"Say, those daggers look familiar. Mind if I take a looky at them." The man spoke, his accent was odd. He was leaning on a wooden table

I contemplated for a moment before stepping forward and setting them on the table. The man took the blades, looking and feeling every bit of them

"Hey! This is me and my brothers work." The man exclaimed with a grin, a slight chuckle escaped his throat

"Names Brok." The man spoke before he grunted in a satisfied manner
