Lights of Bree... a small village of stone and half-timbered houses nestled against a low wooded hill. A thick hedge surrounds the village... a great gate bars the western entrance. Raewyn and the hobbits approached the gatehouse as they stayed close to her; with her hood covering her head just right; you could only see her face as she knocked on the gate. A surly gatekeeper opened the window to the gate and stared at her along with the companions she had "What do you want?" he asked. She looked at him a moment "We are headed for the Prancing Pony" she replied.

He closed the window and then preceded to open the gate shining a lantern at them, bathing them in an uncomfortable yellow light "Hobbits and a woman!" What business do you bring to Bree?" before Raewyn could answer; Frodo stepped up "We wish to stay at the inn... our business is our own" The old man nodded as he allowed them to pass "All right. I mean no offense. 'Tis Old Harry's job to ask questions after nightfall. There's talk of strange folk abroad ... can't be too careful."

Raewyn lead the hobbits who were not too far from her; the tall people of Bree loomed over the nervous hobbits as they made their way through the narrow streets

Raewyn lead the hobbits who were not too far from her; the tall people of Bree loomed over the nervous hobbits as they made their way through the narrow streets. In the distance, Raewyn saw the sign for the Prancing Pony as the five hurried along inside the inn. Raewyn saw the innkeeper as she nudged Frodo who walked towards the desk "Excuse me" The innkeeper Butterbur; looked ahead and then down at Frodo "Good evening, little masters. If you're seeking accommodation, we've got some nice, cozy Hobbit-sized rooms available. Mr...ah..." he asked as Frodo looked at Raewyn nodding "Underhill... My name's Underhill" he replied as Butterbur muttered in understanding.

"We are friends of Gandalf the Grey; can you tell him we've arrived?.." She spoke up as Butterbur looked at her in recognition "Dear Winnie is that you? Aren't you usually with him? Haven't seen him since your last trip here" she looked at him in shock as she looked at the hobbits as Sam spoke up "What do we do now?"
