On the river Anduin, the three boats drift slowly through a steep rocky gorge in the pre-dawn light. Boromir would glance at Aragorn or Raewyn as the two refuse to return his glance and in his own turmoil of defeat from the previous evening. Aragorn, slowly paddling in the stern "Frodo.." he whispered softly as the young hobbit looks up with his eyes widening with amazement.

Two enormous rock statues, towering over 300-foot pinnacles on either side of the river carved images of Gondorian Kings of old. They loom over the boats with power and majesty. Raewyn could help but smile at the sight as Aragorn, moved by the beauty of the silent sentinels "Long have I desired to look upon the kings of old, my kin" he spoke softly as the fellowship stared in stunned silence as the current takes them through the narrow gap at the statue's feet.

As they reached the shore of Nen Hithoel they all clamber onto the wooded shore; tired and beat from riding in a boat the hobbits started to unpack things to cook with so they may fill their bellies

As they reached the shore of Nen Hithoel they all clamber onto the wooded shore; tired and beat from riding in a boat the hobbits started to unpack things to cook with so they may fill their bellies. Raewyn stared across the river as Legolas comes up next to her "You feel it too can't you?" he asked as he looked at him nodding "Yes... Something's coming..." Aragorn began to speak "We cross the lake at nightfall, hide the boats and continue on foot... we approach Mordor from the North." Gimli chokes on his pipe as he spoke up "Oh yes? Just a simple matter of finding our way through Emyn Muil, an impassable labyrinth of razor-sharp rocks. And after that, it gets even better... a festering, stinking marshland as far as the eye can see." Gimli quipped back.

"That is our road. I suggest you take some rest and recover your strength, Master Dwarf" Aragorn said as he walked away to where Legolas and Raewyn were. "Recover my..." Gimli was baffled. Legolas turns to Aragorn with urgency "We should leave now..." Aragorn shook his head "No. Orcs patrol the eastern shore. We must wait for the cover of darkness." Raewyn speaks up "It is not the eastern shore that worries us" As Legolas casts a glance around into the Parth Galen Forest "A shadow and a threat has been growing our minds. Something draws near, we can feel it" she continued as Aragorn looks at them both, knowing what they were speaking of.
