Théoden and Aragorn lead the army into the encampment as they trotted through "Grimbold, how many?" Théoden asks one commander "I bring five hundred from the Westfold my lord" another soldier spoke up "We have three hundred more from Fenmarch, my lord!" Théoden looked around as they continued onward "Where are the riders from Snowbourn?" he questioned as a soldier spoke up "None have come my lord!"
As they reached the higher encampment; Aragorn and Théoden look over the small army "Six thousand spears, less than have of what I had hoped for" he sighed as Aragorn looked at him "Six thousand will not be enough to break the lines of Mordor." Théoden nodded as he placed a hand on his shoulder "More will come" he goes to walk away before Aragorn stops him "Every hour lost hastens Gondor's defeat" he looks at Théoden "We have until dawn then we must ride" Théoden nods his head in agreement. A neighing horse attracts his attention. They both turn and notice how much difficulty the men have in calming down the horses that seem to be nervous of something.
Legolas and Gimli walk amongst them. They meet Eomer who is saddling his horse "The horses are restless, and the men are quiet" Eomer looked at him nodding "They grow nervous in the shadow of the mountain" he gestures to a small cleft through the rocks "That road there where does that lead?" Gimli asks as Legolas realized what it was "It is the road to the Dimholt, the door under the mountain." Eomer looks at him again " None who venture there ever return. That mountain is evil." He says as he walks away.
Aragorn focuses on the cleft; a man struggles to calm down a frightened horse. Aragorn stares at the pathway looking worried. He sees the King of the Dead beckoning him "Aragorn!" he jumps and turns around seeing Gimli "Let's find some food" Aragorn looks back and the King is gone, he then turns and follows Gimli.
Nighttime fell as Aragorn slept; his thoughts trailed to Raewyn, he found himself dreaming. She could be seen talking towards a doorway; as she walked through it, vines and flowers naturally growing. He could hear whispers "Queen of the Earth" he moved to reach for her but not before she caught on fire and her screams pierced through as he wakes and suddenly draws his sword. He notices a soldier standing in the doorway of his tent "Sir? King Théoden awaits you my lord" he leaves the tent.
