The first person to greet us is no one other than Oliver.

The house was full with people and I can't help but assume that it had something to do with the fact that we were very late to the party since Ail was too busy taking her time to find the right outfit for both of us which was pretty useless in my opinion as I ended up wearing what I wanted to wear.

Still, I don't get how Oliver managed to see us over this many people.

"Janeeeeee" he slurred as his hands stretched out for a hug "you made it"

"Oh, I didn't notice" I took a step back and the idiot hugged a random person that was innocently passing. He was definitely drunk.

Ail who had been ranting off party rules for me before Oliver interrupted had paused and started a silent glare. I knew that look and trust me, it wasn't good. Oliver did not recognize her....or at least pretended not to. She had put so much effort in her dress for this party that she literally shone with her golden dress and her sleek bun that had dragged her eyes well enough to make her look like a siren.

Yet he failed to notice her. Not just him, every single soul we had passed from the parking lot till here.

At this point, I was having too many people hit me to enter the house, because as you may have guessed we were standing at the door

"Ohh Aileen it's you" Oliver rolled his eyes, finally acknowledging her "I haven't seen you since the election"

I don't have time for this silly drama

"I'm off to get drinks "I excused myself from both of them.

I don't get a reply from either of them and take that as a 'yes'.

Reaching the kitchen was very hard as:

1. I had never been to this house before

2. People occasionally pushed me aside

3. The house was dimly lit with red and orange bulbs making it harder to see

It was a long journey and I couldn't help but smile to myself at the thought of getting a drink for myself.

But it wasn't worth it.

Because There Were NO drinks. Not even a juice box.

With this crowd it's not meant to be a shocker but seriously why will you invite this many people if you can't afford drinks.

I closed the fridge as a sigh left my lips.

"Who wears a hoodie and tight to a party"

My grip on the fridge handle tightened

I knew that voice anywhere.

Parker Hart.

The highly overrated parker hart. No wonder this many people could attend the party. It just makes sense now. The school's celebrity was here.

"A wannabe babe, a wannabe" a high pitched voice replied as she giggled stupidly.

Its official there's nothing more tragic to being the only one laugh at joke –especially when its your own joke.

Someone get me tissues.

I snapped my head at the voice and a cry came from her as she straddled parker's arm "bae I think she wants to hit me"

Are we really doing this right now?

I took in her appearance: white tight crop top, high waist short skirt that barely covered anything, sneakers, pigtails and a lot of jewelleries. If there was anyone looking like a "wannabe" it was her because to put it simply everything just screamed extra. She looked like some cosplayer had accidentally ran into a teen's party.

Probably if this was another setting she would have had perfume in her eyes but I learnt not to come with too much luggage to a party after my phone got stolen -

"She can't"

Parker deadpanned as he patted her hair, and his other hand rested in one of the pockets of his cargo pants and the hypocrite even had a hoodie on.

His eyes glinted with amusement, contrasting to his words like he was willingly putting I and cosplayer girl in a ring for his amusement. I couldn't embarrass myself for his satisfaction. I needed to leave here. This drama was not for me. i needed breeze, stars something other than this loud noisy place.

And that's what I did, I left parker with his dumb smirk and the shivering brunet and headed for the backyard.

To hell with the drinks, I could buy a whole bottle for myself another day

"For someone that's all abusive you're pretty much of a chicken" I heard his faint voice and a couple of oooohs and wolf whistles from behind me.

Ignore, I ignored.

The yard was simple there was a garden and the floor was filled with grass. Not much people were outside so it was a bit quiet with a faint sound of the music from inside the house.

I sat on the grass, as I recollected my thoughts. Honestly passing the crowd was hard there was just too many people with his haircut, his smile, and laugh. It was too annoying to think off yet here I am.

Then there was parker.

His brother .....

I felt a buzz in my pocket! It had been 6 days and no text from mystery texter so it probably had to be a text from mom to know where I was.

But it wasn't

I also got invited to the party
