"Seriously? You went on a date with him? He's the total playboy! If you want to find a keeper, I could hook you up with someone~"

The girl nudged as she came closer to my face with a smuggling grin. I couldn't help but smile at her ridiculous expression.

"Right. Well, I gave him a chance and I accepted because I felt like I needed it. He already has a love interest in Skylor and I don't want to ruin his moment with her."

My smile was soon dragged down to a sorrowful frown. Even though Kai was a total jerk, I still liked him in someway or another.

Cristy looked at me as her smile too was slowly dragged down. Her eyebrows furrowing a sudden thought in her mind.

"So, do you want me to introduce you with a keeper?"

"Well, worth a shot. Show me the image."

Cristy pulled out her phone and scrolled down to her friend's social media. She chose the picture that she liked the most and shoved it to my face.

"Chris?!"

I exclaimed almost immediately after recognizing the face.

"You know my cousin?"

"Of course I know him! There is no way I'm going out with that guy!"

Cristy was quite surprised to see me explode in despise for his older cousin. So she wondered, why was I so upset with him?

"Why do you dislike him? I'm telling you, he just won't give up on the girl he had been liking for so long. He keeps bragging about it."

"That girl might have been me, Cristy. I liked him too at first but. . .I cannot forgive him for mentioning my deceased father with that dirty mouth of his."

The girl suddenly turned to the floor and played with the dust while still keeping her frown formed onto her lips.

She quickly lifted her head in realization and turned to me once more. She held both of my hand and told me her idea.

"Wassup, uh. . .I'm Karl."

"Y/n. Nice to meet you. Just so you know-"

"Yeah, I already heard from Cristy. I don'r need an explanation again."

He said while shyly scratching the back of his head. A but worried as to how far the two of you will play this out.

So, Cristy had this idea of making Kai jealous by seeing his own friend going out with me.

Cristy will ask Kai out on a date while I and Karl 'accidentally' meet them at the same location.

Karl is going to have to go and make small moves on me to make Kai more frustrated about this 'sudden' double date and then eventually taking me somewhre away from them.

I shuffled my feet nervously as we sat down on the table. Looking at the menu list and sometimes meeting each others eyes on accident.

"I can't believe I'm betraying my best 'bud."

"And I can't believe I agreed to her idea."

We covered our red faces as soon as the door bell rang. There appeared, Cristy and Kai with an unusual gorgeous dressing code.

I wasn't really into style but I gotta say, Cristy really made this a 360° turn. With me falling in love with her.

Just kidding. She looked amazing. Especially her self-made make-up.

"Y/n?"

She suddenly mumbled enough for Karl and I to hear.

Kai's head quickly turned to my direction as he head my name suddenly being called out. I ignored his glance and waved at Cristy.

"Hey, Cristy. Coincidence, huh."

"You're a good actress."

Karl whispered with a grin.

I smiled at him and kicked both of his legs from under the table. He giggled along with me as Cristy made her was to our table.

"Let's turn this into a double date!"

She exclaimed as she sat down next to Karl.

He and I switched gazed for a moment and it didn't take long for Kai to notice our constant looks.

He felt left out because Cristy was busy with choosing her meal.

"Stop looking~"

I giggled while hiding my red face behind the menu list.

I was able to hear Kai's mumbling while Karl again started teasing me with small love messages.

"Bye, Karl. It was nice today."

"No problem! I'll text you when I have time again!"

He exclaimed as he started his motorcycle with Cristy behind his seat.

Apparently, Cristy got drunk pretty quickly and Karl insisted on bringing her home since he knew where she lived and have been friends for so long.

I sighed and almost forgot that a certain someone was still there. I turned around to make my way back home and bumped into a dude.

He caught me by my waist and pulled me back.

"What was that about?"

He asked with anger slowly filling his mind.

"Sorry, I was just a little clumsy there-"

"Not that! Why were you out with Karl!"

His usually romantic voice suddenly turned into a fierceful one. I didn't know he could get this mad about somethinf likw this. We aren't even officially dating nor him having interest in me.

"I guess I wanted some attention-"

"Then you should've called me. . .you have my number for a reason you know. . . so why?"

"You have Skylor, Kai. Just because she's playing hard to get, doesn't mean you should give up on her so easily because that's what hard to get people dislike."

"Y/n-"

"Sorry but. . .I think the two of you are. . .a better match."
