Chris wouldn't stop bothering at me at the end of the day. He kept pestering me all day long with his delinquent friends the other day.
"Loser, why are you hanging out with that freak."
"Jay is not a freak. Besides, why would you care what I think of others. I thought you'd make my life a living hell."
I spat back with words instead with my tone.
My words had no effect on him either way because he knew a knockback that could literally throw my spoken words back to my face. It's an effective one at that.
"Don't talk back to me like that, you scum. We were arranged for his relationship and I wont lose you to some loser-looking moron."
He gets on my nerves so much! I wish he could just leave Jay alone for gods sake! Jay is such a nice guy. Why would anyone hate him at all? Just cause he has a good reputation with the high percentage of 90, doesn't mean he gets treated well by the rest of the 10.
To be fully honest, he's been beaten a few times because people kept mentioning that he was adopted. It's true that he doesn't look like his parents but did they really have to mock him for that?
My poor Jay. . .I wish I could help him out with his problems. . .
"Just leave Jay alone, Chris."
"What's the price?"
I glared at him for a moment and crossed my arms.
"Well, whatever you want. Not this body though."
Chris laughed and clapped his hands in amusement as I mentioned my body.
"Hah! You're a good one. You could tell what I wanted, huh."
"Obviously."
I bawled while rolling my eyes at him. He grasped my chin and pulled them close to his face. He wasn't gonna kiss me or anything. But. . .
"I want you to stay away from him as much as possible. I'll stop approaching him and I'll stop calling him names. If he asks you for help or greets you, make it short and uninterested."
My confidence suddenly died down as I didn't really think through if he said something like this. This is basically ignoring Jay. I could never. . .
"I'm never gonna do that-"
"Then I'll make that bastard my punching bag."
Before Chris left without another word, I held him by the hand and stopped him from going. Jay stood at the other end of the hallway talking with his classmates while I and Chris spoke to each other privately.
Jay waved at me with a smile while I remained silent and sent him a crept up smile.
"I'll. . .do it. . .just leave Jay in peace. Now go back to your school place. I'm sure the teachers there already called your parents."
"Hah? You care for me now? What's the sudden change?"
I briefly sighed and pushed him out of the the school.
He waved his goodbye at me along with a wink and basically ran back to his school house.

The school long ended and a few of us remained steady inside the classroom. Talking about the school trip that we're about to go to.
Since it was our teacher's birthday on the trip, we planned on surprising him as a 'thank you' for teaching us many things so far. We all passed the first half semester because of his great teaching skills.
"Hey, Y/n, wanna go get some boba later? I'll pay if you want-"
"No thank you."
My heart was tearing itself apart as I tried so hard not to apologize to him. He kept on asking me and telling me stories and ignored him the best I could. I listened to every single word he said but never replied to them. . .up until he asked.
"Why are you so silent?"
My smile dropped as I had to find a reason as to why I wasn't saying anything back to him. It had to be short and uninterested.
"Tired."
"Weird. I thought you're usually hyperactive whenever you had to less sleep. Maybe today wasn't your day. Bad luck day?"
"I guess."
"Hey, tell me what you spoke with Chris today. I knew him for a while and I wanted to know how he's been."
"Nothing much."
"Ah. . .I see. . ."
Jay's words seem to have died down and realized that something might had happened between me and him.
I wasn't gonna spit everything out and kept quiet.
The door opened in a rush and revealed Chris with sweaty forehead.
"Hey, babe~"
I felt disgusted and stood up from the table that I was sitting on. More specifically, my table.
"Don't call me that."
Chris chuckled with a smirk as he wrapped around an arm on my shoulder. It was heavy. It's like carrying three heave backpacks on the same arm. His muscles are trained.
Jay rather surprisingly. In the time since I befriended him, I had never seen that expression before. They were filled with hatred.
"Chris, what are you doing with her?"
He turned his head to Jay and smirked.
"She's my girlfriend obviously."
"Can't you see she feels uncomfortable around you? Let her go. Now."
Jay was surprisingly intimidating too. He looked way too serious about this matter and wondered. Why does he care so much for me? He's an awesome guy, really, but seeing him like this, is like a hero trying to save a girl from a pervert.
"Who are you to tell me what to do."
Jay took a moment to reply as he lowered his head to tbe floor.
"I'm the one. . .that's gonna beat your ass!"
Jay launched himself onto Chris and smacked him right on the nose. Causing his noss to bleed instantly after falling down to the floor.
Chris backed up for a second and stared on his hand. It was covered in blood and started panicking.
He ran through the hallway and left the school house immediately.
"Jay. . ."
I whispered as I was covering my mouth with my two hands in shock.
The others at the back clapped for his outstanding victory as he shyly scratching the back of his neck gently.
He looked at me for a second and held my hand with a smoothing grin.
"You don't need to hide things from me, you know. Whatever might bother you, you can always tell me and I'll solve your problem in a jiffy."
