Alone?

I opened my eyes into a void of darkness. I lift my hand up and rub my head. I cringe as my muscles protests as I slowly sit up. I look around and see that I'm in some kind of clearing on the edge of the woods. In front of me were large looming mountains covered in what looked like snow. I felt bile rise in my throat and I tried to hold it in. I let out a small groan as I stumbled to my feet. I scan the area, looking for any signs of life. There was nothing. I was truly alone.

The events of what happened replay in my head and I feel chills go down my back. What stood out to me the most though, was what Tubbo had said to me before I ran. Run fast & don't stop. Once it has seen you once, it will never stop hunting you. What did he mean? Would the masked pig really not stop until it found me? Either way, I didn't want to stick around and find out. If it were hunting me, I had to put the most distance between me and the masked hunter as I could. I saw how fast they lunged at poor Tubbo. Tubbo... He said he would find me, didn't he?

I feel a stab of fear as I think back to his haunting screams that echoed in my head as I ran away. Is he okay? I can't believe I just left him there but I didn't have a choice. I slowly started to make my way towards the mountain looming in front of me. I wasn't sure where I was. I wasn't sure where I was going. All I knew was that I had to move. I reached down to touch the wooden sword Tubbo had given me. I truly didn't think it would do anything against those horrifying monsters, but it still gave me a sense of comfort.

It hurt to move, but I kept going. As I was moving, I continued to see those dark flashes of something in the corner of my vision. The one I had seen at the swamp. Whatever creature it was, it was following me, & every time I saw it, it appeared the next time for longer and was less blurred. I could already tell it was wearing some kind of birdish mask and a large black cloak. It hasn't tried to harm me yet though. I wasn't sure what to do about it but as long as it didn't attack me, I was fine.

Exhaustion kept telling me I needed to stop but I didn't. I kept going until I reached a large stream filled with brown murky water. I was so thirsty that I stopped to drink, not caring how warm and disgusting the water was. When I was finally satisfied, I leaned back and sat against a rotting old log next to the river. Before I knew it, my eyes were slowly starting to close on me. I tried to fight it but I just couldn't. I eventually fell into an uneasy sleep.

I was woken up by the sound of heavy footsteps approaching. I jolted up and prepared to run but when I saw who it was, I froze. Standing in front of me was a tall man wearing a familiar brown trench coat. I gasped and without thinking ran forward to meet the figure.

"WILBUR!" I shouted and slammed into him in a large hug.

Something was off though. He felt like stone. Heavy and cold. Confused, I looked up into his face and instantly recoiled. What?? No, who was this? It looked like Wilbur. He was wearing the same trench coat. Had the same curly brown hair. Even wore the same smile Wilbur was known for. However, this wasn't Wilbur. He looked almost like a wooden puppet. On his cheeks were two colorful swirls. This must be some kind of dream or illusion. How was this possible?

"Wilbur...?" I say hesitantly.

"Hello, Tommy." His voice sounds like Wilbur but something about it was... off. It almost sounded like there was some kind of robotic undertone to it.

"You aren't Wilbur. Who the fuck are you?" Tommy asks, backing farther away from 'Wilbur'.

"Come on now Tommy. That's not nice" He said, taking a step toward me.

Suddenly, Wilbur is shot in the side by an arrow. I jump and look at where the arrow came from. Off to the side was a large bush. I look back at the Wilbur. He looks down at the arrow in his side, still smiling, and rips it out. He tosses it to the ground and looks back at me like nothing happened. He opens his mouth to say something else but another arrow comes flying and goes straight through his head. I feel sick as Wilbur tears it out like it's nothing. The hole in his head where the arrow was instantly heals. I take a step back and trip over a large rock.
