Izuku hid his face in Dabi's shoulder, the scarred hand ran into his matted hair, choking out on his saliva and snot.

"I was realllllly scared- Dabi- they wanted to kill me, it was hard to figh- I- Toshi was out there and I had to protect him- I'm no killer, but I unconsciously tried to surviv- I felt so broke- so alone!"

At this point he was speaking gibberish, but the scarred man didn't mind the mumbling; he kept on soothing the distressed kid, he hugged the child in his lap, not understanding a single thing came from the wailing teen.

Izuku didn't let go of the older, even when his cries receeded to hiccups; the child cuddled to his chest as the bon fire warmed his chest.

"Now that you calmed down, mind telling what happened?" Dabi's voice was soft, Izuku relaxed against the soothing touches, Izuku turned his head, facing the warm turquoise eyes, and he told him; vomited every single detail; not keeping any detail except for the villain being a yokai.

"D-Does this make me a bad person?" Izuku hesitantly said, biting his nails.

"No, not at all," Dabi grabbed the small trembling hand, "But I-"

"No listen to me, Izuku you did what you have to survives, so Izuku, thank you for making it out alive, thank you for not giving up on your life,"

Izuku's bottom lip trembled; he threw his arms over Dabi's shoulder, and the older didn't hesitate to hug him back, "Thank you for coming back safely to me,"

Izuku choked up, he nodded fervently, and silently hugged him.

"Would you look at that my sons being civil and cute for once," A cheery voice broke their cuddling session, Izuku stumbled over Dabi as he tried to get off him and run into the welcoming arms of his mother.

Mito laughed softly and grabbed the child that collapsed in his mother embrace, she picked him up with ease; rocking him.

"I heard what happened," She wiped away the tears, "You did the right thing,"

Relief washed over Izuku as he heard the words tumbling from Mitp's mouth, "Even if I killed them?"

"Feral yokais are meant to be eliminated at all costs,"

Izuku widened his eyes at the words that left the woman's mouth, "I-but, how?"

.....

Izuku looked around him, he was sitting in Mito's bed, his mother was busy preparing hot chocolate; Dabi went back to his room and left Izuku in the care of his mother.

Mito handed the warm glass, Izuku sighed in relief as the chocolate tingled against his tongue's taste bud.

"I think its about time we have had our talk," Mito sighed, Izuku raised his head up, he was surprised to see how the cheeky grin was lost from her face; it was replaced by a mature look that was a quite foreign expression. Never in his whole life he wanted to make a person smile so bad, "Humans and yokai, are to not co-exist; that is the thumb rule." Mito started, Izuku rose his head, this the first time she acknowledged the yokai's existance, "Mito-san; are you-"

She stood straight; and for the first time; he saw her in her true form; the familiar marmalade orange hair was gone, replace by striking white; and a familiar halo engulfed her whole body.

Izuku choked as her glow was much stronger than his, but he confirmed it; she was the same kind as sensei, a yokai made of light.

"Young one, it's nice to finally show you the truth. We," she pointed her finger at Madara, and the cat's golden eyes shone brighter than the sun, "are users of light, the original runners of the forest, as the rulers we are to stop the aimless bloodshed between the two worlds,"
