Kai and Sophia went back home after making sure everything was okay and that the contractions had stopped. Dr. Elizabeth made sure they were fed up with her repeating how much Sophia needed to rest. Kai was happy they were fine, but things went from bad to worse in terms of his overprotection; he even got her a wheelchair so as not to let her walk. Sophia remained silent, contemplating what she should say to his mother when they were back home. Kai sensed his fiancée was deeply bothered by something. He tried to let her talk, but she just kept insisting everything was fine. Nevertheless, he was planning some things to cheer her up, as he didn't want to push her into telling him what was wrong.
They arrived at the house to be met by Kai's family. Sophia neglected any eye contact with Mrs. Havertz while greeting the rest. She then asked Kai to get her to their room as she wanted to take a nap.
Kai went back downstairs to his family after making sure Sophia was asleep.Mr. Havertz: "What happened, son? Is everything okay? "
Kai: "They will be fine. She was having some contractions, so the doctor gave her something and told her to rest completely."
Lea: "And the wheelchair?"
Kai: "It was my idea. I didn't want her to walk a lot. She just seems sad. I will go get her flowers and the necklace she wanted. Maybe it will cheer her up a bit. "
Mrs. Havertz: "It is normal to be depressed during pregnancy, Kai. Spoiling her like that won't make much of a difference. "
Jan: "I think it's a good idea actually. Even if it will just help a little bit. "
Mrs. Havertz: "You look tired, Kai. Try to rest then you can go get her whatever you want."
Kai: "I am okay, mum, just worried about her. You guys are sure nothing happened when she was with you?"
Lea: "She seemed fine earlier, at the bridge, before suddenly collapsing."
Mr. Havertz: "We don't know what happened; it was like she suddenly went blank."
Mrs. Havertz: "I will make her some soup and bring it up to her once done."
Kai: "Fine, I will go get her some stuff. Lea, would you come with me?"
Lea: "For sure, what is there better to do?"
Kai: "Mum, call me the moment she wakes up and don't let her get stressed in anyway."
Mrs. Havertz: "Don't you worry, I will remain beside her."
Kai: "Good, thank you."
Kai went away with Lea. While Mrs. Havertz prepared the soup and got it up towards her bed, Sophia stirred a bit, hearing footsteps coming into her room. She opened her eyes a bit to be met by Mrs. Havertz checking on her. She quickly hopped off bed, squeezing herself into the corner of the bedroom.
Sophia: "What do you want from me?"
Mrs. Havertz: "Just getting you some soup. Get back to bed, Soph. We don't need the contractions to come back. "
Sophia: "I don't want anything from you. Leave me the fuck alone. "
Mrs. Havertz: "How dare you talk to me like that, young lady?"
Sophia (crying and shouting): "And how dare you try to kidnap me? You wanted to ruin me, didn't you? It was all an act for you, being friendly with me when you felt you would lose Kai if you kept treating me the way you were. "
Mrs. Havertz: "You are becoming delusional. I will call Kai to come take you to a psych ward. "
Sophia: "You are the one who needs a psych ward, or better yet, you need a prison. You had everything settled for me to disappear. You have Kai's old number, the keys to our house, and the VIP transport office that you always use when you come here. But your evil plan collapsed the moment you knew I was pregnant. This is why you changed everything to save your grandchildren."
Mrs. Havertz (smiling): "Well, it seems you are less dump than I assumed you to be. What did you expect me to do, huh? Watch him get married to a girl like you? I wouldn't have allowed you to take him from me if it wasn't for you getting yourself pregnant like a bitch to try to tie him forever. "
Sophia: "Oh God, you are crazy and I hate you... You don't want me to marry your son, so you tried to ruin me that way?! "
Mrs. Havertz: "And I would have done it over and over, because you don't deserve him. I am the one who raised him up, took care of him, was with him when he was sick, got him to training and encouraged him to be the man that he is now. You don't get to take that away from me. I had to take action when he told me he proposed."
Sophia: "Fuck you!"
Mrs. Havertz: "For someone who has seen what I am capable of, you still aren't aware of what I can do to you right now. I can crush you right there and I would defend myself easily in court. "
Sophia: "You won't touch me when I am carrying your grandchildren. Meanwhile, I would get everyone to know who you truly are. I will get your own son to know what his mother has tried to do and believe me when I tell you he wouldn't want to see your face again."
Mrs. Havertz (laughing): "You don't know Kai as much as I do. If you tell him something like this, he either won't believe you or he will suffer for the rest of his life. He can't live without me. You are pathetic enough to think he will come back running to you to tell you how bad his mummy is and you will just kiss it good? "
Sophia: "Get out! I don't want to see your face here again. And I would be the one to decide if I should call the police or if I should tell Kai. "
Mrs. Havertz: "I am at my son's house, honey. You can't get me out."
Their voices were pretty high. Jan was taking a stroll with his father around the neighbourhood when they heard their voices a house away. They went inside, running upstairs to find Sophia totally on the floor. The girl was shaking very hard, arms and legs jerking violently while blood was flowing from between her legs. Mrs. Havertz was panicking all over her, trying to stop it without any success.
Jan (gasping): "What the hell happened?"
Mrs. Havertz said, "She is having a seizure. Call an ambulance immediately. We need to save the babies."
