Y/N : Yuri I can't call right now! I am about to go to therapy!
Please! Just for one minute! I want to hear your adorable voice! : Yuri
Y/N: I will call you later okay? I'll be done in an hour!
Okay... I'll miss you! : Yuri
Wow, we have been texting for hours! Yuri has all the free time in the world because she is a book editor so she can work whenever she wanted to. It was a bit weird talking to her for five hours nonstop. I had no clue why we didn't even call, but hey it was still nice talking to her even through text.
That is when our texting session stopped, and I was called into Mr. Hawkins's office. I already know that he is going to be glad to hear about what happened. It was like my life had new hope, and that was Yuri.
"Y/N, Mr. Hawkins is ready to see you." The receptionist announced, and I made my way down the hall to Mr. Hawkins office.
"Y/N it is so nice to see you again. Please take a seat."
"Mr. Hawkins I have so many things to tell you! First I went to see the girl, and I asked her out on a date! Then we-"
"Y/N! Y/N! Slow down before you have a heartattack!" Mr. Hawkins reinforced, and I took a seat.
"Sorry.. sorry. I'm just so excited to tell you about Yuri. This girl is everything I dreamed of!" I reminded Mr. Hawkins and he pleasantly laughed at my statement.
Trust me this was news to Mr. Hawkins because after the last time I saw him I assumed he would think that I wouldn't rebound this quick.
"Well I think it would be an understatement if I said I was proud of your progress Y/N. The last time I saw you, you weren't in the greatest state. However now I really see the happiness I was used to back in the day from you. Tell me about Yuri if you don't mind." Mr. Hawkins asked me, and he got himself into a session where the discussion was centered all around Yuri.
"Let's just say she is the girl I have been waiting my whole life for. First of all she was also a big fan of The Portrait of Markov, and she even has the same favorite chapter as I do."
"Wow that is a very nice detail. My wife won't even consider reading!" Mr. Hawkins confessed with an inadequate look on his face.
"Well that would be a deal breaker for me! Anyway we went on a date and she had a deep interest in poetry too, and I even let her look at some of my poems. She loved all of them!"
"Wow I was a bit unsure of the relationship at first, but I think I am finally understanding why you two get along so well." Mr. Hawkins deliberated, and I nodded in total agreeance.
"Anything else I should know about Yuri? Maybe you can tell me how she looks like."
"She has beautiful long flowing purple hair, her eyes are like gems, and honestly it was like she was the daughter of a goddess." I described Yuri to Mr. Hawkins and he was impressed by her looks.
"Wow you won the lottery Y/N. I remember the first time I saw my wife, and to be honest in that moment it was like the sun was shining only on her. I'm happy you get to feel that with Yuri. Are there any problems floating around? I don't mind it if Yuri came to a session or two with you." Mr. Hawkins said, but I guess there was a thing or two I wanted to discuss with him.
"I think I brought up Cynthia too many times. I mean I don't really think it was a good idea comparing Yuri to her. How do I make myself stop doing that?" I questioned Mr. Hawkins with urgency in my voice, and he could tell how worried I was about keeping Yuri around.
"Y/N sometimes you just have to unplug that part of your mind that thinks of Cynthia. Trust me I always thought of the many ways my exes were similar to each other, but when I met my wife all those thoughts went away over time. I even talked to her about them, and she was a little taken aback. At the same time we each talked about our own issues and we ended up being closer in the process." Mr. Hawkins recalled, and that was something I could really consider doing with Yuri.
She seemed very understanding, and when I brought up Cynthia she seemed very optimistic to prove herself. Like Cynthia was somehow her competition and she had to make sure she was better then her.
"I may have brought up Cynthia a few times of course, but whenever I did Yuri seemed to be a little defensive. Like she had to be a step above Cynthia."
"Well I think you need to talk about your problems with Yuri. I mean I suggest waiting a little while because you two haven't been a thing for that long. However as time passes you can really open up to her some more." Mr. Hawkins explained to me, and that discussion really showed me how much Mr. Hawkins knew about relationships, emotions, and even the depths of love.
In a way it was sort of like he could encounter any problem with the L word head on.
"Thank you Mr. Hawkins that really helped. How do you know so much about relationships and love?"
"Well after dealing with so many patients come to me with their own problems related to their own relationships. They range from a variety of topics and conundrums, so I obviously had many ways to practice." Mr. Hawkins reflected, and to be honest that wasn't an uncommon question for any therapist to answer.
For the rest of the session it we basically discussed every single little thing about Yuri, and I couldn't stop myself from asking him if that was normal or not in a relationship.
I even brought up the fact that I was texting with Yuri all day long, and Mr. Hawkins said I have a real keeper on my hands.
After that day I was certain I had a future with Yuri. I assumed we may have had a problem every blue moon, but in a flick of a wand I would think we would get over most of them.
However some of our problems had a little bit of depth in them, but I just didn't capture the circumference of them at first.
However at the time. I was in a winter wonderland of love.
