I gave Ella a playful slap. She used to love acting as a child, but now she does it to get me worried and worked up.

"Why would you do that Ella. It's not funny."

"I'm just checking you still care Abs."
Ella wrapped her arms around me.

"Love you Abs."

"Love you too I guess Els."

We headed into the gym shortly later. I was greeted by the physiotherapist and strength and conditioning coach.

"Abby! How's the ankle doing?"

Just before the season ended, we were playing against Arsenal. I had a bad tackle which led me to badly bruise and sprain my ankle. It was recovering just fine, feeling almost back to normal.

"Yeah it's actually feeling pretty good. You got something for me to do?"

"Yes I do. We want you do focus on putting weight on the ankle, getting it as strong as the other one. We don't want anymore injuries on it okay?"

"I can do that. Thanks Kirsty."

I joined Lessi, who was going single weighed leg raises. I admired Alessia a lot. The way she trained, the motivation and drive she had, it's all something that I work towards. She's sort of a sister and mother figure, all at the same time.

"Ankle getting stronger?"
Lessi said, looking down at my left foot.

"Yeah it's all good, just some precautionary measures."

After training, me and Ella packed up our things from our mums house and moved back into our apartment with Alessia. We all shared one, it is a ten minute drive from the training ground so it is handy.

"Fancy a movie night?"
Ella said. I knew she was trying to take her mind off Dad.

"What one you thinking off?"
I said quickly, not wanting her to think I know why she's said it.

"The new spider-man ones out. Can we?"
Alessia is obsessed with spider-man. Well, she's more obsessed with Tom Holland, but won't admit it.

We all sat on the sofa for two hours, before heading to bed. We had training slightly later, which allowed us all to catch up on some sleep. I had a shower, which turned out to be a mistake as it woke me up. I was still wide awake sometime later, and heard quiet footsteps coming to my door.

"Abs? You awake?"
A timid Alessia poker her head around the door,

"Yes come in."

"I need to talk to you about something. I can't talk to Ella about it."
I was confused. Ella is Alessia's best friend. How can she talk to me but not her? This soon came alight though.

"I've had feelings towards someone."

"Aww Lessi. Who's the lucky person?"

"You cannot tell anyone. Promise me?"

"I promise Lessi"
She's keeping the suspense that's for sure,

"Millie."

"Mille who? Turner??"

"NO. Shit no. I know how that sounds. No. Millie Bright."
Mille Bright is a Chelsea player, but Lessi rooms with her at England camps. I could see it coming, they were acting a little too close lately.

"I'm so proud of you Less. But why could you not tell Ella?"

"Because i've feelings for a girl. Your gay, so I knew you wouldn't judge."

"Neither would Ella. You know that right?"
Ella never would judge. Her and dad were the first people I came out to. Mum hated me when I told her, but Els and Dad always had my back.

"I know it's just easier telling you about it first. I don't even know what I'm meant to do with these feelings."

"Okay well, you can tell Ella. She will never judge. I promise that. And secondly, Millie seems like a lovely girl and someone who would treat you so well. You and her also have been getting close recently, and i've only had videos to base that off. I think you should be honest with her at the next England camp."

"You think Abs? It's a big step."

"Lessi, it's almost a month until the next camp. If you still feel that way about her, I would tell her. Don't let moments in life pass you by because you were too scared to be honest."

"Thank you Abs."
She gave me a big hug, not letting go for a few minutes.

"So wait Less. Are you gay or bisexual?"

"I think i'm gay Abs."
I pulled her in for another hug, this time I didn't let go for a few minutes. I gave her a kiss on her head.

"I'm so proud of you Less. That takes guts. Thank you for being yourself with me."

Alessia went back to her room, now smiling and happy. When she was leaving, I saw a text from Millie pop on her phone. I knew Millie made her happy, and that made me happy. I always knew Lessi liked girls, even though she's never said. The little looks she gave certain team mates and players were less than friendly. I was just proud of her for being the true Alessia.

By this point I was tired. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out of the count. I woke up to the blinding light coming through the blinds on the window. I checked the time. 10:30am. I really was tired. I walked down into the kitchen to see Ella and Alessia hugging on the sofa. Alessia looked over at me,

"I told Ella."
I ran over and joined the hug,

"Well done Less. You make me so proud."

"Wait? Ella knows? Why was I the last one?? Im a proud ally!"
The cringyness this made me and Alessia feel was brutal, not knowing to laugh or cry.

"Please Ella, never say that again. For the peace of everyone around you."
Lessi said this, while I was in stitches laughing.

Ella was an odd character. But then again, I was related to her so I can't say too much. Ella has a boyfriend, Nathan. They've been together 3 years and for them whole three years, i've never seen her so happy. Except when she's with me, of course. Sometimes I wished that I had met my soulmate, that I wasn't alone. Everyone around me had relationships, to hell even my mum had one. So when is it my turn?
