Chapter 8: Fifa Tournaments and Introduction to Jordan Nobbs

I opened the door to find Leah. I just stood there for a second, then closed the door over again. Leah's foot stopped the door from closing fully.

"I need to talk to you Abby. It can't wait.

I stared at Leah,

"What exactly do you want? I don't really want to talk to you. You hurt me."

"I didn't mean to though. I felt that connection too. It's just Jordan. She's good to me but she's not my soulmate, I know that."

I could feel my eyes tearing up slowly, trying not to make eye contact with Leah.

"Did you tell Jordan? About the kiss?"

Leah looked at the floor. I knew she hadn't.

"No but I didn't want to hurt her."

"So you hurt me instead?"

I didn't wait a second before saying this. I could feel myself getting more angry by the second.

"I like you Abby. I really do. I just can't hurt Jordan."

I pushed passed Leah and walked out. Before going into the room, I dried my tears and held my head high. Beth gave me a smile as I walked into the room. I finished my bottle of water before heading back up to my room. Beth followed me into the room soon after.

"You doing alright little one?"

I gave Beth a hug. I didn't let go for a couple of minutes.

"Leah came to talk to me. She didn't deny she hurt me. She would rather hurt me than Jordan. Beth it really hurts. I really like her."

Beth gave me a light kiss on my forehead.

"It's going to be okay Abs. Jordan was Leah's first love. I know it's not an excuse but it gives you a bit of clarity. You don't need her anyway. I promise you."

I cried in Beth's arms for an hour. I instantly stopped when Ella came in.

"Abs? Are you okay?"

I looked over at Beth, to answer for me.

"Leah talked to Abby. She told her she'd rather hurt her than Jordan."

"Aww Abs come here. She doesn't deserve you. At all."

I got a massive hug from both Beth and Ella. They always made me feel better. Ella has been cheering me up since we were young, so she knew all the right ways to do so.

"Let's play a game. Anyone up for Fifa?"
Ella said, looking at Beth.

I loved Fifa. Well, anything football related I love. It just brings me so much joy. Me and Ella played against each other first, playing as Arsenal against Man United. Beth wasn't impressed when I picked Arsenal, which was the whole point. It was really funny to watch. I won the first match 2-1, then Ella and Beth played against each other. A knock on the door came soon after. It was Alessia, Rach and Millie. We all played a big Fifa tournament. There was so much sexual tension between Millie and Alessia. Beth looked confused, she was the only one there who didn't know.

It hit 10pm and we all decided to get to bed. Everyone dispersed into their rooms, with me and Beth left on the sofa.

"You feeling any better?"

"A lot, thank you."
I smiled at Beth. She really did brighten up a room.

"Let's head to bed then, first day of training tomorrow."

We both got into our single beds and fell asleep. We had an alarm set for 6:30am. I didn't sleep too well. Leah was still on my mind. I didn't understand why. I don't like her that much but I couldn't stop thinking of her and Jordan. I just want Leah to myself. It wasn't fair.

I was awake at 5:30am. I got a shower, and straight into my kit. Once it hit 7am, I went straight down to breakfast. I knew I had to take my mind off things. Only one person was down at breakfast already. Jordan. I didn't know what to do so I got my food and sat down. Jordan brought her food over to me.

"Hi. I don't think we've properly met yet. I'm Jordan."

I looked up, trying not to make eye contact.

"I'm Abby. Nice to meet you."

Jordan smiled at me.

"So what you doing up this early? I mean I'm down for first dibs on food but I don't think it's the same case for you."

Jordan said this, while giving me a quick nudge.

"I just couldn't sleep too well."

"Any reason why?"

I knew the reason. I knew the full reason. I couldn't tell Jordan though.

"I've no clue."
I said, lying through my teeth.

"I mean you are sharing with Beth, so that makes sense. She's a big snorer."

Jordan is funny. I can see why Leah didn't want to hurt her. She's so precious. But it doesn't take away the fact she hurt me a lot.
