Part 27: Same Page, Same Book

Here's the funny thing about books, every page is different. No two are the same. That's what I thought happened to Leah and I. Two different pages in different books.

I left her house, holding the tears until I reached my car. I saw Leah come out of her house, which lead me to speed off. I couldn't face her. And Jordan. I drove until I found myself at Millie's house. I didn't even knock, I just sat on her front step. Weird, I know but I couldn't bring myself to move. My brain felt like it shut down. "Abs? What are you doing?" My eyes reached hers, and I just cried. She lifted me inside to the sofa, not letting me leave her arms. That's what I love about Millie. She never forced me to say anything, but instead she just held me. "So who do I have to kill huh?" I giggled, for the first time tonight. "I caught Leah and Jordan together in Leah's house tonight." I heard Millie sigh, before giving me a tight squeeze. I slept on Millie's sofa that night. She made me breakfast when I woke up, still emotional from the night before. My phone was still locked in my car, which I had to get because Ella would be having a shit attack right now. I rang her explaining everything, without shedding a tear. Now I was proud of that.

I decided it was time to head home, but not without Millie following me out. She wanted to come with me to see Alessia, which I couldn't disagree with. Better to not be on my own right now. We walked out, seeing someone leant against the car. "Abby. Please can we talk?" Leah. Leah was slumped across the car, with puffy eyes and dark bags underneath. "It's best if you leave now Leah. You've caused enough damage." Millie acted like my bodyguard, letting me into my own car. Through the door, I could hear a muffled conversation. "It's not what you think Millie. I was just trying to apologise to Jordan I swear-" "Stop. Give her time then try. This isn't going to get you anywhere right now." She slammed the door as she got into the car, "Sorry about that Abs. Now let's hit the road." In the wing mirror, I watched Leah break down onto the curb, letting out streams of tears. I slammed the breaks. "Abby what are you doing-" I ran back to Leah, lowering myself down to her level. "Give me time. Then talk to me. I'm happy to hear you out." Leah just stared at me before nodding, timidly. Millie had a go at me when I got into the car, but it was worth it. I couldn't be angry at Leah, but I'm not forgiving yet. Not until I hear the next page in the book.

We arrived back to my flat, which Alessia was coming round to. My key just about made it into the door before I heard Ella. A very unhappy Ella. "ABBY MARIE TOONE. Where have you been? You can't go for the night without telling me. You could've been dead" Ella said, with a stern look on her face and a disappointment tone of voice. This was one of the worst moods for Ella to be in. You know you've really fucked up. I had really fucked up. "I'm sorry Ella. Something happened with Leah and I stayed at Millie. I am sorry Els." She brought me in for a hug. "Next time get whoever you're with to text me please." Alessia had arrived round, and Millie and her spent time together in my room, while I talked to Ella. "I don't get why she would do that though Abs. I think you should talk to her." Almost like it was written, Leah rang me. Ella gave me the look, to go outside.

"Hello?" I said, not like we needed an introduction. I had made myself down the stairs in our flat, to outside and sat on the curb. "Hi. I didn't think you'd answer." "I'd always answer if you called." The silence was deafening. "I just need to explain what happened. Please?" Leah said. You could tell she was nervous. "Go ahead, take your time." "Look I promise you now I invited Jordan round to apologise to her for what I did to her. She liked you and I was rude about it. I just wanted to make peace with her. I'd never do anything else, I promise. I only want you. I only ever want you. Please believe me." I paused, taking every word in. "I do believe you. I'm sorry I over reacted. It just took my by surprise." "Thank you Abs. Really thank you. I'll let you go back to Ella. I'll talk to you later?" "We'll talk later. Bye Le." I awaited Leah's goodbye, but it never came. "Abs?" "Yes Le?" The silence was prolonged this time, like she was thinking about something. "I love you." Those three little words. The words I've been waiting to hear. They danced around my head, to this day. "I love you too Le" With that note, the heavens opened up, raining pouring down while the sun shined bright. I just leaned back, taking it all in. From the outside, it was a rainy wet day, that made people hide out in their houses. But this was surreal. It was a sign, for me. She lived in my mind as a daydream, and at this moment, we were dancing freely in the rain.

I eventually hung up the phone, remembering my phone was in fact not water proof. "Abs! Surely you didn't sit in the rain!" Ella said, worrying I'd catch a cold. "I'm going to shower, I'll see yous later." I did not go to the shower. Well, I intended to, but I fell asleep. I woke up, and the time read 11:45pm. Jesus. That's me not sleeping well tonight. The morning did however come around, and I got up for training. It wasn't until the late morning, but routine is important for me. Ella knew this, and was waiting in the kitchen with a coffee. We headed into training later on, with Alessia in the back. Millie ended up getting the train back up to London. Leah and I texted through out the day, as much as we could. We couldn't get enough of each other now.

I was wrong. We were on the same page, in the same book. We were writing our own book, soulmates. Together.

Sorry this is a bit of a short one, but I like the idea of them writing their own story, not literally tho🤣
