Part 3: Dad's Death Date and Leah Williamson

Two weeks have passed and weirdly enough, time passes very quickly. Alessia's feelings for Mille have only grown stronger, I can see her smiling constantly at her phone. We all know what that means. My ankle has gotten even better. You couldn't even tell that I was injured 2 months ago. Ella and Nathan are still going strong. Me and Ella have been fighting a bit more than recently, but it's coming up to our Dads death date, so I let every argument slid. It hits Ella a lot harder than me. I don't think she's accepted his death just yet. That's perfectly okay though.

We finished training at 3 today, and we have the day off tomorrow. My phone has been buzzing for the last couple minutes, which I finally check.

The England girls are all going out tonight. You wanna come with us Abs? xx

Lessi👯‍♀️:
Please Abs come! You need to meet Millie in person!!

Abby:
Of course I'll come. You couldn't just come into my room and tell me this?! Lazy!!

Suddenly Ella and Alessia burst through the door. They throw themselves onto my bed.

"Woah don't break the bed! What you both wearing tonight?"

"It's quite fancy, the club," Alessia said, "So dresses and heels."

"Yes, remember that red dress I got?"
Me and Alessia both nodded. "I'm wearing that."

"I'm sure I can find a dress then."

"Right we're going to get ready. We're leaving at 8 okay?"

They both left, while I started getting ready. While I was doing my makeup, I started getting nervous. I've never all the England girls in one place. I only know a few through Man United and Ella and Alessia. Once I have a few drinks I will be fine. Ella doesn't normally drink too much, but with upcoming events I can see that being thrown out the window.

I found an outfit in my wardrobe that I didn't hate.  Beige set, consisting of a skirt and a cropped blazer which I wore over a black lace bralette. My hair was up in a slick bun, I had to keep something that I like. My makeup was heavier than usual, I had a flawless base with a smokey eye and eyelashes.

"Wow Abs. You look amazing."
Alessia said, coming into my room. "El, come in quick. Look at Abs."

I started laughing, "I just put effort in okay!"

"Oh my god. Abby you look beautiful. Who are you? What have you done with my sister huh?"
Ella said, playfully nudging me.

Alessia looked at her phone, "That's Rach here to pick us up. Let's go."

We walked out to the car, where we were greeted by Rachel and Milly. "Hi guys, you must be Abby?"

"Yes I am, it's so nice to meet you Rach!"
I turned and looked at Milly,

"And great to meet you!"
I said sarcastically, knowing I'd seen her at training only hours ago.

We drove to a club, which was bright with lights. The outside looked small, but as soon as we got inside it expanded, making me feel tiny. The decor was summery and uplifting. I was staring at the decor that I didn't notice someone come up beside me.

"And who might you be?"
I turned and looked to see who was talking to me. Leah Williamson. The Leah Williamson was talking to me. I blushed even at the thought of this.

"Hi I'm Abby, I'm Ella's sister. She dragged me here."

"Well Abby, I'm Leah." She said this as if I was oblivious to who she was, "It's nice to meet you. Wait, you play for Man United don't you?"

"Yes I do. You remember me?"
I said smirking. Leah was the one who injured my ankle. I knew I could get some free drinks from this is I played my cards right.

"Shit. I do. I am so sorry Abby. It was a dodgy attempt of a tackle from me."

"It's alright. A drink would make up for it though."

"Of course, what you want?"

"Vodka Lemonade please."
Told you. Always a free drink out of a situation.

"Why don't you get us a seat and I'll bring it over?"

I walked off. That did not just happen. Was I flirting with Leah Williamson? Wow.

I walked over to Alessia and Ella, who were sat with Lauren and Lotte. I saw Alessia's face light up as soon as I came over.

"Here Abs can I talk to you?"
I've been here ten minutes and i've had two conversations. I must be doing something right tonight.

"Of course Less." We walked away to a quieter corner. "What's up?"

"I'm going to tell Millie tonight."
I squeezed her hand.

"Thank the lord Lessi, I thought you never would!" I smiled at her, "I'm proud of you, you know."

"Thank you Abs," she hugged me tightly.

A drink was placed on the table, as Leah sat down beside us.

"I'm going to leave yous two to it, I'll update you with any news."
Alessia practically skipped away, like a lamb in a field.

"What's up with Russo?"

"Nothing don't worry about it."

I couldn't believe it. We sat talking to each other, like we'd known each other for years. I just felt comfortable with Leah, like I could tell her anything. My mind kept replying the thoughts i've had. 'When is it my turn to have my person? When do I get to feel loved' Maybe, just maybe, this was it.
