Stepping foot out of the restaurant, Jack was met with water drop after water drop, he was absolutely drenched, he had just given up hope, especially for this restaurant, well, as if it had any sort of hope anyways. Lifting his chin up to look at the sky, it was grey, dark, it had no glimmer of hope (unless you count lightning a glimmer of hope, or light-), just like his empty husk of a body, his soulless eyes met with his (on its last wheels) car and decided to drive back home. He was at his breaking point with this place.

Alright, recap time. In this story, Jack had agreed to help Dave with his devious deeds by being his partner and of course, killing kids but not as the story goes, Jack is overwhelmed with guilt, in the past, he was reminded of his little sister Dee, how she was killed at such a young age (let's pretend he did have a bit of feeling for now), it haunted him day and night, killing kids as a side job was not help for this at all. This explains Jack's ruthless and relentless actions in the pizzeria, making one bad decision after another, his side activities had definitely take a toll on the tangerine man, causing him to become cold and dark, like the weather, it seemed as if there were no glimpse of light coming to save him, or would there?

After Dave had saw him walk out of the pizzeria, he had immediately knew this wasn't the guy he had known before joining this pizzeria. He was different. What happened to his actually fun mishaps in the pizzeria? What happened to just generally having fun and trashing the pizzeria at times? Where did all the good times go? questioned Dave in his mind, acting as if he was a detective and soon realised, it was his fault. Dave felt a wave of guilt wash over his entire body, he couldn't ever imagine hurting the orange man, but, obviously, Dave wasn't thinking right and never took into account Jack's feelings about his deeds, yes, he didn't know about his past but you could tell he'd been through lots of stuff with his death stare. How could he be such an idiot not to realise sooner? He cared about him a lot but maybe it wasn't enough, however, the purple man wasn't giving up any time soon, he wanted his tangerine man back, and pronto. Time to do some buttering up.

As you can imagine Jack's reaction for the next few days of Dave's clinginess, he was annoyed beyond belief but did sort of start to warm up a bit to Jack since other employees didn't really talk to him, other than his boss. As he continued said buttering up, it really was futile: Jack continued being the actual soulless husk he was around the pizzeria, literally everywhere he went, the room would turn ice cold with just his presence, it was overall just depressing, even kids found him scary despite being in an animatronic costume. He came in and out of the pizzeria with the same sad expression plastered on his face, he looked more miserable everyday he went to work.

After days and almost about a week of spending time with Jack, Dave could not understand how he was able to be in such a negative mood everyday at the pizzeria, I mean, yes, he understood that being in an animatronic suit for about 6 or more hours was tiring, also that he was working at a pizzeria that paid him in tokens and not actual money, just to say a few points; but, the lean monster hadn't made him to any of deeds the day he started "bonding" (or what Dave would call bonding" with his Old Sport. Deep down, Dave had known the tangerine man to be quite soft, he never really did anything too bad (whatever that definition means to him-?), he was probably putting up a cold front since he didn't like his deed-doing for Dave. The purple man finally decided to go all out the next day, and tell him his true feelings to him, even if things didn't change, he'd at least know how he felt towards him - maybe this would change things for the better?

Judgement day had arrived sooner than Jack's will to keep working at the pizzeria. As Dave had something to say to Jack, Jack also had something to say to Dave: he really couldn't stand being around the purple man anymore and now wanted to ask why he'd even try to make him happy, and so, he did. He actually walked up to Dave, stared at him with his dead eyes (literally, you could see sort of anger spread on his face) and told him that he should just stop bothering him. Now that hit Dave hard, he was stunned by Jack's words and don't know what to say, when the orange man was about it walk away, the aubergine man grabbed his sleeve and pulled Jack close. "Alright, truth be told, I'm sorry for making you do that, I really didn't want to make you do things you didn't want to do, I was being a real jerk about it and I didn't really think about how it would actually affect you" Dave paused and took a deep breath, "look, I know this is terrible time to say this but I really care about you and I cherish you and I really, really like you, a lot" after saying this, Dave found it impossible to look him in the eyes after saying that, flustered beyond imagination and now regretting all the decisions he made. Did Jack's cold barrier finally break down you ask? Yup, it really had worked, Jack melted at the thought of Dave actually liking him, a lot a lot and his once cold stature had disappeared into thin air, he became so much more softer than before and pulled Dave in for a hug, oh how Dave loved this moment more than anything else. "No more of this, I really cannot do any of your deeds anymore, alright?" stated Jack with such mellow to his voice, "anything for you, Old Sport, we're in this together, like bread and butter".

A/N - aaaa finally updated this after a while, I swear I am getting even more tired and sleep deprived everyday and I do apologise for not updating this sooner, I will try to update this fanfic more but next week I actually start school again, but, you never know, I probably will still be writing these stories despite how much of a workload I'd be getting, I'm committed to the davesport grind, so yea, I'll definitely be more active now than later- (and thank you guys for actually reading my cringey pixel men stuff, it means a lot to me <3)
