A/N: I don't own Smallville or any characters and places in the DC universe. Nor do I own the episodes that these chapters are based on and contained.

I also don't claim to be a writer. My inspiration is simply to get a creative outlet going.

I only own Tyla Nevin and what pertains to her character story.

It was a common occurrence now that Lex and Tyla had fallen asleep in the study. If it wasn't a routine of working late between projects, all too often did Lex and Tyla make love in front of the fireplace. This morning, it seemed like the latter with a discarded can of whipped cream tossed to the side, Tyla curled up in his arms with his shirt covering her, and Lex lying on the couch in just his boxers. He groaned as the sun's rays hit his face, fluttering his eyes awake as he held her hands.

A whoosh of air flew through him. He looked down at his wife. She was asleep. This wasn't her doing. A flare of pain pierced his skull and Lex groaned. He blinked profusely as if to rid the growing headache. He got up, pushing Tyla off of him as moaned in pain. He placed his hands on his head and yelled out in pain.

Tyla felt the shock and jolted awake. She looked up to see Lex, panic already seeping in. "Is something wrong?" She asked. But her husband wasn't listening. "Lex, what's happening?" He groaned in pain again, walking out of the study. "Lex!" She looked around for her thrown-about dress and slipped it on quickly before following him. "Where are you going?"

But Lex didn't hear her. The pain was soon followed by screeching in his mind. He couldn't get it out but he knew he had to go somewhere. He grabbed the keys to his Porsche and ran to the garage.

Tyla opened the front door to see Lex drive off. "Lex!" She yelled, taking a step forward. Her foot dragged, not catching the step and she fell forward. She yelped, placing her hands forward, making her hover on the ground. Hmm...forgot I could fly, she thought. She pressed her lips together and then moved her hands back, causing her to propel forward. "Whoa!" She darted in the air. She flew up past the trees and laughed. This was probably the coolest form of her gifts. She looked around to see if she could find the Porsche. Lex was heading down to the outskirts of Smallville.

She took a deep breath and leaned forward to follow, closing in on Lex. "Lex!" She called. "Lex! Pull over!" What was going on with him? Suddenly, the Porsche turned a bend and into the forest. Tyla saw the vehicle steadily become bigger. "Oh! No!" She reached forward, trying to figure out how to stop her flying but she flipped and projected through the forest, tumbling down into the dirt. "Ow...." She groaned, fixing her sundress, and glanced up to see Lex run past her and into the forest. It was if he had no idea that she was even there, trying to get his attention.

"Lex!" She called out as she began to run after him. He was already too far. She could barely see him as he darted through the woods. The only indicator was his yells of pain as he stopped every so often to place his hands on his head, stopping whatever was pulsing in his brain.

The two of them eventually reached another clearing with Lex stopped abruptly in the middle He turned around, finally realizing that his wife was following him the entire time. "Stay there!" He yelled as Tyla took another step.

She paused and glanced down at her feet before looking up at her husband. "What's going on?" She yelled back.

"I don't know!" Lex was about to say something else, but he heard an explosion. A wave of dirt separated them and Tyla flew back. Another explosion, this one was closer, blew up near him and another wave of dirt flew. He dunked, putting his hands over his head. Over and over, explosions rang through his ears with waves of dirt surrounding him in the clearing. It disoriented him, he couldn't tell where Tyla was or what direction he was now facing. Then as quick as it came, it had disappeared. Lex looked around, seeing Tyla get up and run towards him. But she stopped, looking up to the sky. He heard a low humming. The ground started to darken around him. He looked up to follow her gaze. It was a large ship obscuring the light, similar to the one that they had searched for this entire time, except it was three times its size. It stopped just above him, looming.
