A/N: I don't own Smallville or any characters and places in the DC universe. Nor do I own the episodes that these chapters are based and contained from.

I also don't claim to be a writer. My inspiration is simply to get a creative outlet going.

I only own Tyla Nevin and what pertains to her character story.

"I had hoped to come with you."

It was those few words that made her smile as she walked out to the plaza from LuthorCorp. Lex was working late which left Tyla to pick up her father and brother from the airport. Vigo refused to use the jet out of his own pride. This resulted in the newly blue-haired woman leaving early. It separated her from Lex which made the billionaire needing to stay for the full day, feeling more than anxious. Between her recovery and Lex's preoccupation, they had neglected the company quite a bit, resulting in a lot of catch-up.

"I know, but I'm at least taking the limo, so your presence is there," she reassured him through the phone. Her heels clicked at the pavement and with her free hand, she waved at the driver who stood, waiting for her at the other end of the plaza. "He'll understand that you weren't able to pick him up. He'll meet you at home."

"That's not what I'm worried about," Lex mumbled, as he looked at his computer screen. "You're under a fine microscope since you're dating me." That and the fact that he was trying to be exceptionally courteous to his future father-in-law. It was only the other day that tabloids commented on her platinum blue hair. Tyla tried to dye it back to her natural hair color, but her hair seemed to have burned the coloring, preventing it from staying on. She didn't take to the itchy wigs either so, she just sported it. She didn't feel ashamed but it didn't stop the journalists from asking.

"Lex..." she replied. "It's going to be fine. It's just a few hours." She nodded as the limo driver opened the door for her. "How's this? We'll call you when we are reunited."

It put an ease in the billionaire's mind. She could practically see him relax in his chair. "Okay," he breathed out. "I love you."

"Love you too, talk to you soon." She settled in her seat and hung up. She waited as the driver closed the door and then went to his own seat to start the car. She rested her head in her hand, leaning against the other door frame to look out of the window. It was about a half hour until she felt her eyes glisten and a white light shown in her eyes.

A large house.... someone breaking in.... cash...her.... the driver turning a corner.... something is wrong.

She blinked, wondering what to process first. She looked around. She wasn't on the highway. The limo pulled over, and all she saw was a vast expanse of darkness. She was in danger! She was about to grab the phone when the sliding window to the driver shot open. She looked down, grabbing at her purse for her gun but the driver popped in a canister. The small, dark green can started to smoke. It was too late. There was some kind of gas that hissed towards her. She unhooked herself from the seatbelt, trying to get away but she started to cough. Her vision became blurry, and she slumped forward. Her hand barely grazing the handle to open the door.

"I don't care. If I wanted excuses, I would have called the police.... Yeah? well, you're supposed to be the best private security firm in Metropolis. How do you lose one blue-haired woman?..... Just find her. I want results!" Lex yelled in his study. Two guards were positioned in the room with Oren and Vigo sitting pensively on the couch.

A couple of hours ago, He felt relieved that Tyla's brother was calling him. Although it was soon replaced with searing dread as Oren explained that she had never come to pick them up. It wasn't like Tyla, she was always punctual. He growled as he hung up, turning to her family. "Apparently, she was taken from the plaza. The entrance security cam has her walking out to the limo. If she was taken, then it was out of sight."
