Eddie and I pack up while the others cheer before we all head out.

Still cheering, we exit the building and I notice others outside. Oh yeah, the championship game. I grin as I watch everyone cheer and hug Erica. "Would it be safe to say we have a new member of the Hellfire Club?" I ask Erica and Eddie. "If you will accept the offer, Lady Applejack?" Eddie says, bowing slightly. "I'll think about it." She says as we walk.

We part ways, going home with a smile on our face and victory in our hearts.

I get home and fall on my bed, laughing to myself. "Hell yeah." I shower, change and fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

I wake up to the sound of the TV going in the background. "The hell?" I mutter to myself, wondering why the TV is on at.... I check the time. 7am in the morning.

I get changed, brush my teeth before heading downstairs to find my parents sitting on the couch, eyes glued to the TV. "What's going on?" I ask. "There's been a death." My mother says, looking at me. "A death? Who?" I ask. "They haven't revealed who it is...but it's a student at Hawkins High." My dad says. I run my hand over my hair, fear edging its way into my mind. "W-where did they die?" I ask. My mom looks at me, furrowing her eyebrows. "The trailer park."

That was it. I went upstairs to grab my things. Max lives in the trailer park. She's a Hawkins student. I have to go and make sure she's not the one who died...I...I don't know what I'll do if it's her. "Wait, Y/N" My dad says, following me. "I know I can't stop you...I can see you're really worried for her." He says, watching me as I bustle around my room. "I mean, we liked her too, but you have to be careful." He adds. I nod, silently zipping up my bag and slinging it over my shoulder. "I will...trust me." I say. He nods, leaning over to kiss the top of my head before I walk downstairs.

Before I make it to the door, however, I hear a knock. "Are you expecting company?" My mom asks my dad and I. We shake our heads, scared. I slowly go to the door and creek it open to peer outside...only to be met with my favourite pair of blue eyes, filled with worry and fear. "Y/N..." Max breathes. "Max..." I reply, opening the door wider and letting her in. "Maxie!" My dad says, giving her a hug. She stiffens, clearly not as touchy as she was before before returning the hug. "Hi, Mr Y/L/N." She says before stepping back. "What are you doing here?" I ask her.

She just looks at me, and I understand. It's not something we can talk about freely...it's something unusual, something only I'd understand. "Oh right, that thing. I think I left it in another bag somewhere...come, we can search together." I say before Max and I go up to my room.

"Chrissy Cunningham?" I ask, disbelief in my tone. "Are you sure it was her?" I ask, watching the redhead. She nods. "Yes, in her cheerleader outfit. Same thing she was in when I saw her with Eddie." She clarifies. God, I can't believe Eddie is somehow wrapped up in this. I rub my eyes. "God...Eddie?" I question. "Did you tell all this to the cops?" I ask her, praying to god she didn't. "No. No, but I...I can't be the only one who saw them together. They stood out." She says. "Well, yeah. I mean, Eddie the freak and Chrissy the cheerleader." I mutter, sighing. "Damn it, Eddie." I say, grabbing my walkie. We barely used them now, only occasionally. However, we all swore to keep ours on in case of emergencies.

"This is important. Does anyone copy?" I say. "This is Y/N Y/L/N, does anyone copy?" I repeat. We wait for a few beats before the walkie crackles to life. "Y/N? What's wrong? This is Dustin." He says. "Dustin, we need your help. Can we come over?" I say. "We? Who's we?" He asks. Right...Dustin has been upset that Max and I split because he claimed we were cute as hell and deserved to be happy like him and Suzie. "We as in Max and I..." I say, looking at the girl who avoids my gaze. "Oh, she's with you? Yeah sure, come over." He says, but I can hear the teasing tone in his voice. "Copy that, be there in five, over." I say, grabbing my bag again. "Let's go." I say before Max and I leave the house, biking and skating our way over to the Henderson's house.
