28. Saturday

It's been three days!

I nervously played with my pen while staring at the clock in the classroom, today Mr. Takeda will tell me if I can join the volleyball team as Manager.

Finally! The bell rang and I packed my stuff quickly. "See you tomorrow yn!" I waved Shoyo goodbye "bye Hinata!".

I grabbed my bag and just as I wanted to walk out a older girl walked into the room, she was beautiful! I know her from somewhere...

RIGHT! She's the current manager of Karasunos Team: Kiyoko Shimizu!

"Oh- hello Kiyoko! Are you looking for Shoyo? He already left to the gym" "no..I'm here for you actually" she smiled politely "Mr. Takeda sent me to pick you up, you wanted to join as manager, right?" I smiled brightly and nodded "yes! I mean yes I do." I cleared my throat and she smiled with a small nod.

"Well we know from the others that you have a little experience that's why we wanna try it out with you. If everything goes well, we can keep you as manager, since there comes a lot of responsibility with the job". I nodded "of course..." "great! Then lets go."

I nodded happily and followed her into the gym, I already heard the squeaking noises of shoes on the gym floor and balls hitting the floor. As we stepped in everyone turned to us.

Kiyoko smiled and took her clipboard "Hi everyone! Yn will join us Experimentally as manager. I'll show her the tasks as manager and she'll support us in our training camp!" I bowed towards the boys with a smile "I hope for a successful time together!". "WOAAAh Yn you're joining us! Great!" Shoyo cheered. I smiled shyly and followed Kiyoko around for the rest of practice.

She told and showed me all the tasks I had to do through out their practice, like helping her refill bottles.

After training I started sweeping the floor "ah Kiyoko don't worry! I'll wash the triktos after I'm finished! Go ahead and go home" I smiled at her. "Oh? Thank you yn! Don't take too long...goodnight!" "Goodnight!"

I smiled to myself as I dragged the trikots to the washing room. I can't wait to join them for training camp! I'm so ecxited to watch the matches and support the team as well as I can. I wiped some sweat off my forehead as I walked back into the gym and put away all the balls. "Yn?" I whipped my head around and to my surprise I met Kuroo.

"Kuroo? What brings you here?" "Just...checking on you" I frowned "Okay? What's up?" I asked as I locked everything and walked out with him. "I...am meaning to talk with you about Kenma?" Oh oh.

"Alright...I'm listening" I smiled weakly as I locked up the club room as well and walked towards my home with Kuroo.

"I know he's...distant lately " he started. "But..not because of you. Well kinda but" he groaned and rested his hands on his hips. I stopped walking and turned to him "Kuroo..if he has enough of me that's okay. I kinda had the feeling that I'm getting on his nerves anyways. And since we aren't dating he can't really break up, I understand if he-" "That's not it!" I flinched and blinked confused "not?".

"No...he's just a little confused lately" I nodded a little confused "Okay...? And that's why he lost interest in me?" "He didn't. He is conflicted of his next move. Please just give him time until the training camp! I know from Hinata that you're now one of their managers. That's why I came here. Please don't give up on Kenma!" I giggled a little and hit his shoulder playfully "I didn't give up on him. Damn I could never. I just thought we spent too much time together for his taste and that he needs some space for himself. But if you say he's conflicted right now...I hope he's finding a solution for his issue...just tell me if I can help?".

Kuroo smiled down at me and nodded "you can actually, please be more persistent. Don't let him avoid you that easy" I giggled and nodded "fine. I'll try"

Kuroo soon had to walk his own way so we said our Goodbyes and I went home. I had to start packing for training camp.

I took out the list Kiyoko gave me, I had to organise everything on it for the camp.

I smiled and made a list myself, a check list so I don't forget any step ihave to do!

"Wash trikots - check. Pump up balls - check. Now I need to get the meat and towels for the trip...I'll buy the meet tomorrow so it stays fresh for Saturday." I told myself.

I made myself some food before starting with my homework, I yawned in process.

I wonder what Kenma is so conflicted about right now...

My first guess would be how he can break up with me, but Kuroo told me to not be so insecure and not give Kenma up. I'd never give him up just like that, I love Kenma! I smiled at the thought of my blonde 'boyfriend'. I really wanted to confess these words soon...I wanted to tell him I love him.

But what if it's too early for him? He doesn't want to commit and I agreed, but would these words be committing? Probably. I don't want to pressure him, I had to hold these words back for now. I will tell him when he's ready to know how I feel about him.

I hope he feels the same, I wish he would tell me what bothers him lately. If there really was something upsetting him, I want to help him. But he won't let me - obviously I'm not his girlfriend.

We are not in a relationship, no commitment and no ...

I shook my head at my own thoughts, I had to stay calm. I quickly ate up and went to bed, tomorrow was a hard day.

I'd see Kenma Saturday, I just had to wait a little longer.
