30. Soothing the storm

"Yn wake up wake up wake up! We're heeere" I whined while opening my eyes with a yawn "Huh?". Shoyo leaned over the seat, pushing his face in mine "we're here!" I gasped and sat up straight "WE ARE HERE?" "YES!" we jumped up and ran outside. I looked around and the other boys exited the bus as well. "Woaaaah look at the cabins!" Sugawara murmured ecxitedly and Tanaka ran around with Nishinoya "NICE NICE NICE!". I smiled at the view how Daichi had to assemble and scold the younger boys.

I stretched and started helping to unpack the bus, handing everyone their bags. "Yn? You can go ahead to your cabin if you want. I'll bring the food to the kitchen" "Oh are you sure? I'd be happy to help you!" "No don't worry. Goodnight Yn" "Goodnight Kiyoko" I bowed to her as she handed me the key to my cabin. I huffed and dragged my bags to my cabin. "Need help?~" I turned my head to the voice and grinned "sure!" I threw one of my bags to Kuroo and smiled "arrived safely?" I asked as I put my bag down to unlock the cabin.

"Yeah. Hey we wanna sneak out later to the lake nearby, want to join?" I hummed and put my bags down "who is we?". He put down the bag he carried and walked out with me again "Me, Kenma, Bokuto, Akaashi and I'll ask some Karasunos" I hummed and shook my head "no let them rest please. I want them to be well rested tomorrow and they trained today till we left." Kuroo groaned "oh come on" "nope. But you guys have fun."

Kuroo pouted and crossed his arms, walking with me around, exploring the area. "Kenma could need you tonight" he sighed, making me freeze. Kuroo stopped as well "What's wrong?" I asked carefully and he sighed "he is totally beside track. He's not listening, not eating properly and super moody. He just won't talk to me" I frowned "where is he?".

I spotted him sitting on the ground, staring into the sky. For once I didn't catch him playing games. I slowly walked towards him and put my hands gently on his shoulders, I felt him tensing up and sat next to him. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you" I calmly spoke and his head whipped to me.
His eyes were wide in surprise "yn!? What are you doing here?" I giggled and looked up to the sky as well "I'm Karasunos new Manager. So I'm here too" "manager?" "Mhm." I heard him sigh out but it didn't sound annoyed, what a relief.

I felt his arm sneaking around my waist, pulling me closer to his side. I smiled and hugged him "I missed you Kenma, are you alright?" "Yeah..." He mumbled in my shoulder. I frowned and gently caressed his back "are you sure? You don't look so good? Is something on your mind?" "Sort of. I missed you" my eyes widened.

He missed me? For real?

"You know I was always available for you. You could have always talked to me, called me, met up with me. Anything. I thought you're avoiding me, so I'm surprised that you missed me" he sighed and nodded "it's just hard...".

I felt bad for him, he sounded hurt. "Kenma..." I gently made him look at me and his eyes had something worried in them. "I missed you too. Want to come to my cabin a little? Cuddles?" I gently nudged his side and he nodded hesitantly. I giggled and helped him up "where's your console?" "Kuroo confiscated it." "Oh- rude" he nodded grumbling, making me smile. "So you're now a manager?" He asked calmly and I nodded "Yeah. I figured this was the only activity I'd have fun with. And it feels good to spend some time with our friends." "I see." I smiled and let him in the cabin "wow luxus. You have your own cabin?" I nodded with an agreeing hum. "I like the rustical vibes. Feels like a scout camp." "Yeah, summer camp vibes." I smiled and laid down on the bed with a yawn "come here cat boy".

He blushed and laid shyly next to me, hugging me tightly. I wrapped my arms around him and played with his hair a little and I swear I heard him hum softly.

"Kenma...just so you know I'm always there for you." I whispered in the silent room. "I know...thank you, Love". There was it.

A nickname...after so long.

It felt like a eternity since he called me such a sweet nickname in such a soft voice. I felt tears welling up in my eyes and hugged him tighter, my lungs felt like they're closing. I can't cry now!

My stomach felt so warm suddenly, I felt happy hearing his voice this gentle again. I really hope I could sooth whatever was storming inside of my beloved blonde.
