*Conners POV*
"Jen, can I ask your opinion on something?"
"Sure Con, what's up?"
"Well it's about Ambrose... it's just that we have been going out for a couple weeks now... and..." I started trying to find the right words for what I was trying to say.
"Don't tell me you're regretting going out with him, the two of you are so perfect togeth–"
I cut Jenny off before she could continue her train of thought that I wish wouldn't happen ever. "No it's not that, actually it's more of the opposite kind of that– I really like him and these last weeks of us going on dates has been solidifying it more that I love him, but I feel like the weeks are going a tad slow."
"What do you mean by slow?"
"It's just, and don't judge me, we haven't really done anything beyond holding hands and kissing."
"So, what you're saying is that you are upset your boyfriend hasn't made a bigger move on you?" Jenny questions making my face feel as hot as the sun.
"Hey, it took a lot of courage to talk to you about this!" I practically shouted at her.
"Woah calm down there tiger or else your neighbors are gonna do a noise complaint on you. I'm not dissing you, I'm just trying to come to terms with the fact that you want my advice because you are horny for your boyfriend." She joked before sighing and leaning her head on my shoulder. Feeling the breeze brush past us, the sensation of her hair wisping across me made me slightly shiver under her.
"So, what's your advice?"
"I mean you could make the first move, you don't have to wait for him to make the first move." She suggested making me think of how right she is.
"You're not wrong I guess the next time we're alone together or something I could quote on quote make a move."
"Glad I could be of help to your relationship. Listening to this makes me wish I had a boyfriend."
"I'm sure the right person is out there for you, it's just that they haven't found you yet. Any guy would be lucky to have a phenomenal girl like you."
"Yeah, I guess it's probably hard to find someone too since it's such a small town too. Almost everyone knows everyone and their grandmas. Maybe I should travel the world to see if I can catch anything." She said, finishing at a whisper that I almost didn't catch the last part.
"Maybe I could join you for a bit, a change of scenery is always nice."
"I don't know if I could deal with both you and Ambrose being kissy faces while I try to find someone of my own. Anyways, I think we should head inside the house already since it's getting a bit chilly out here, Ambrose will kill me if you get sick." She joked as we began heading inside.
"Don't worry I won't let him finish off my best friend over something like that. Do you want to stay over for dinner tonight?"
"Nah I can't stay for too long since my parents are expecting me for dinner. After all, I do have to go home eventually." she replied, before settling into the couch with Howard and I where we have begun to make imprints from always sitting in the same place.
"When do you think you'll make your move?"
"Um i haven't really thought about it, but i guess a good time would be when the house is empty."
"Oooo naughty boy, were you thinking about your house or his?"
"Obviously here considering I have a lot less stairs."
