*Conners POV*

"Conner you need to hurry up before you are late for school." Yelled my mom from outside my door. First day of school yay. I think as swing my legs off the bed and feel over to where my dresser is. Just like my mom said everything is where it usually is at. After asking Siri what the weather was going to be like I took out a pair of jeans, t-shit, and a light jacket since it was going to be slightly chilly out today. Heading across the hall to the bathroom I relived myself and brush my teeth. I smoothed out my hair with my hands and a little bit of water so that I didn't have what people called bed head. It doesn't really make sense for me to try and fix my hair to look good for people since I can't even see. Walking out of the bathroom I grab my sunglasses from my room then Howard and I begin our decent to the kitchen where the smell of bacon and pancakes were wafting out of.

"Ooo do I smell bacon in here. Must mean mom isn't cooking." I chuckle as someone lightly hits my shoulder as I make my way toward the bar stools.

"Don't be so mean to me or else I won't drive you to school and you'll have to take the bus. I think we both know how hard that will be especially with Howard." My mom said as she gave Howard and I our breakfast.

"Aw don't be like that mom. You know I was just joking with you." I say digging into the pancakes.

"Then don't tease me like that. Now hurry up before we really are late for your first day of school." Said my mom as she moved around the kitchen with Veronica and a few seconds later I hear a kiss sound out in front of me.

"Ew can you guys not do that right in front go my breakfast." I say finishing off the food before getting up to put my dishes in the sink.

"Oh get over yourself Conner we ARE a couple after all and it's not that you can even see us kiss just hear it. Now I did make you a lunch and I packed some of those crackers you love so much. I did put it in your book bag along with all the things you'll need for classes since they mailed your schedule over."

"Thanks Veronica but you didn't have to make me lunch. I could have just gotten something from the cafeteria." I said holding out my hand for my book bag and almost falling over with an oof at how heavy it was.

"It's not a problem at all Conner. I'm taking care of your mom which means I also have to take care of you as well." Veronica said putting her hands on my shoulder as she led me to the front door so I can be taken to school.

"Aw thanks Veronica that makes me feel special." I say as I climb into the car with my mom and Howard.

"No problem at all Conner. Now have good day at school, but I won't be here when you get back because I have to work a late shift at the hospital since I didn't take the week off like your mom here did. On the bright side I will be making dinner before I leave and putting it in the fridge so that you guys WON'T be eating take out again." Veronica rushes out as my mom tells her to hurry up and stop before we are late. After saying our good byes again my mom and I make the short 10 minute drive to the school.

Parking and getting out of the car my mom takes Howard and I to the front office where the school administrators told us yesterday they would have someone help me get around school since we had similar schedules. Sitting down on one of the seats my mom says good bye one last time before finally leaving telling me that she was going to be running errands and if I needed anything to just call her or Veronica. After sitting there for what feels like forever I heard the door open with a small gasp following.

"Conner and Howard is that you! I didn't expect you guys to be the ones I would be showing around the school today." I hear surprisingly Jenny from the dinners excited voice coming closer to Howard and I. The surprise must have shown on my face as I heard her chuckle and walk somewhere around me. Hearing the shuffling of paper I go to stand. "You probably didn't think id be the one to show you around the school since you meet me at the dinner the other day. You probably didn't think that I was your age."
