6. Cuddle Buddies

*Ambrose POV*

"Shhhhh don't wake them up idiot."

"Don't tell me to shhh when you are being louder than me."

"Both of you shhhh before I make you." I grumble out as I slowly open my eyes looking up at George and Andy who are holding up their phones and shyly looking down at me from behind the couch. Looking around the room I remember I'm in Veronicas living room. I must have dosed off during the movie. I think as I go to move but am stopped by something clinging to me. What in the world? Looking down I see Conner holding onto me and try to remember what happened before I fell asleep. Conner asked to lend him my shoulder and we somehow ended up cuddling our sleep with me caging him against the couch. Looking back up at George and Andy I realize that they were taking pictures of us. I feel both rage and embarrassment fill my veins. 

"I'm gonna kill you two." I say calmly looking at them and seeing them go pale with fear as they race out the room. Smart move. I think as I try to get up again only to lean back too much and slip on the cover thrown over us making me fall off the couch with Conner falling on top of me since he was still clinging to me like a koala. Groaning I rub the back of my head seeing that Conner is still sleeping peacefully. He's seriously still asleep after that fall and he still won't let go of me not that I mind. What am I gonna do now? Guess I have to just carry him until his grip loosens. I think picking us up from the floor with him in my arms and almost tripping over Howard as he tried to stay close to Conner despite him being asleep. Oops I hope I didn't hurt Howard. I think as I go looking for those two bird for brains finding them in the kitchen hiding behind Veronica and Lucy who aw when they look at me.

"Aunties help me out here please." I plead giving them my best puppy dog face.

"What did they do?" Veronica asks looking at the guilty party behind her.

"They took secret pictures of Conner and I sleeping like creeps." I say shifting Conner in my arms to point at George and Andy. Veronica looks at them and then suddenly smile making my jaw drop.

"George, Andy, I hope you guys are going to share those pictures with us. Now show us these pictures." Veronica says with a grin looking back at me before turning back to George and Andy who are pulling up the photos and showing them to Lucy and her as Andrew walk in from the bathroom with a questioning look. 

"Whats going on?"

"Just looking at some photos of Ambrose and Conner." Says Andy as he races over to show his mate the photos no one should be seeing.

"Thats so not fair." I say a little too loud making Conner shift in his sleep. I hold my breath since I don't want to wake him up just yet because of the photo. Conner keeps moving until he finally stops when he buries his face in my neck. Letting out the breath I was holding I look back up to see more cameras on me. Five cameras to be exact. Pouting I leave the room knowing I lost this fight and head back to the living room to wait for Conner to wake up and sulk. I don't know how long I sat there with him straddling me in his sleep waiting for him to finally wake up and let go of me. I almost feel back asleep til I heard his soft voice.

"What time is it I'm starving?" Came Conners groggy voice as he pushed off of me to lean back and rub his eyes to get the crust off of them. He's so cute. I think as I look him over before checking the time.

"It's 6:00pm. I think everyone ate without us since we were asleep, but I think Veronica might have put some food aside for us."  I say gently taking us off the couch and grabbing his hand to lead us back into the kitchen where everyone looks up at us walking through the door doing a silent aw to tease me since they know Conner doesn't know anything. 

"Wheres our food at or did you guys not save us any?" I ask pulling Conner into a bar stool before flicking George and Andy on the head for making kissy faces at me. Idiots. 

"Don't be such a grumpy butt Ambrose I specially prepared some burgers for you guys. Here have at it." Veronica said with a wink as I sat next to Conner after getting us drinks. Grabbing one of the burgers off my plate I take bite and almost immediately regret it.

"Ew tomatoes. Why are there tomatoes in my burger?" I say as I spit the food back onto the plate hearing people laugh around me. Glaring at Veronica I mutter, "Whats so funny Veronica?"

"Oops I gave you the wrong burger and you just look so hilarious complaining about tomatoes like a little kid." She says laughing harder when she finishes as everyone else joins her including Conner who's sitting next to me. As the laughter dies down I hear Conner speak. 

"I was wondering where my tomatoes went. Here let's trade." After switching I just glared at Veronica. 

•You planned this didn't you• I said through the mind link.

•I mean you guys looked so cozy together earlier and I wanted to play a small prank. Whats the harm?• Came Veronicas response as she visibly smiled at me. Everyone here is against me. I think as I start eating my burger that already had a small bite in it from Conner. Being too focused on my heaven burger I didn't notice my name being called until I was poked in my side my Conner.

"Huh?" I say immediately regretting it because of how stupid I sounded. Looking around I see Lucy and Veronica looking at me expectantly. "Sorry I wasn't paying attention what did you guys say?"

"We just asked if you could do us another favor?" Veronica says as I sit up in my chair.

"Uh sure thing what is it?" I say looking around seeing the guys making those stupid kissy faces again.

"I was wondering if you could help us out by driving Conner to and from school since our work schedule is so hectic we won't be here half the time? It would be a huge help to us." Lucy says looking at me with pleading eyes that made it hard to say no.

"Yeah I can do that." I say looking at Conner who was silently finishing up his burger.

"Thank you so much Ambrose this is a huge help for us." Lucy says while coming to hug me.

"Hey guys I just want to thank you guys for being able to help with moving my things around yesterday while I got my nose checked out. I'm still a bit tired from my nap so I think I'm going to shower and then turn in for the night." Conner suddenly pipes up while getting out of the seat with Howard immediately at his side ready to do his job.

"Its no problem at all Conner good night." I say while the guys copy me as we watch them disappear from sight. Once we all hear the sound of his door closing everyone looks towards me as I get out of my seat and stair at where my eyes lost sight of Conner.

"You've finally met your mate Ambrose. I'm so happy for you but he is my only son so you better take care of him or else." Says Lucy as she tries to give me her most threatening look.

"If you hurt that boy I will personally kill you Ambrose." Veronica says in a deadly serious voice.

"What are you threatening me for? I'm your nephew, plus I would never do anything to hurt him. He's my mate for goddess sake."

"Aw wittle Ambrose is finally gonna become a man." George teases as I glare at him.

"Keep teasing me and you'll have to find a new person to drive you everywhere." I say turning away from him as he threw himself on me saying sorries and to keep driving him.

"Don't be like that Ambrose. Now all of you get out of my house and go home before I tell your parents you're being annoying." Veronica says nudging us out towards the front porch and closing the door behind us. Walking to my car I look at dumb and dumber as they try to beat the other to the passenger seat yelling shotgun. Looking back at Andrew I give him a small look of pity knowing he's with dumber.

"Are you guys done yet?" I say as Andy pushes George and finally sits down in the passenger side as George gets up off floor grumbling about his clothes getting dirty.

"Idiots." I say as the rest of us get into the car and drive back to the pack house.
