Chapter 7

Sonic quickly picked his head up from out of the mud and used his hands to quickly get rid of the dirt, twisting his head around almost breaking his neck shooting a glare towards the now azure hedgehog

Other than the mud stuck on his fur there was also a pink blush forming across his muzzle as he stood up properly "it's not funny!" Sonic said embarrassed with a hint of anger "who said it was funny" shadow said not even trying to hide his amusement letting a wide grin stretch across his face to purposefully annoy the other

Sonic clenched his fists and also put on a cocky grin and came closer to the other "you know this is your body right" sonic said both looking each other in the eyes not breaking contact "so?" Shadow said narrowing his eyes "which means i can do whatever i want" sonic said "why should i care what you do" shadow said crossing his arms "because of this.." sonic said bending down and grabbing a handful of mud in one hand

"Please faker, are you seriously going to threaten me with mud" shadow scoffed "maybe" sonic said and lifted the mud up to the chest fur shadow glared at sonics hand and then back at him as if saying 'you wouldn't' 'i would' sonic then smeared the mud on the used to be white fluffy chest fur shadow gritted his teeth but held back, he didn't want to damage his body thats all

But sonic didn't stop there he didn't just smear it it was more like he rubbed it in not only were his gloves also ruined but the mud was also running down his stomach, this made shadow snap

Fuck his body right now all he'd want to do is punch sonic in the face well he thought he did but instead of doing that he also bent down grabbing a handful of mud and throwing it in sonics face which surprised him he was still trying to process what just happened for a good minute so while sonic was doing that shadow threw another ball of mud in his face making sonic snap out of it and gather all the mud on his face and bundled it into a ball again "its on!" Sonic said and threw it back, it hitting shadows chest

"Now you've done it" shadow growled but holding a smirk on his face shadow threw another ball of mud but this time sonic caught it but a little splashing on his face he threw it back and shadow dodged it.

At this point the whole area turned into a battlefield and the two hedgehogs are almost covered completely from head to toe in dirt and mud even some leaves here and there the two hedgehogs where running through the forest but it was more like shadow was running he had gotten the hang of sonics speed unlike sonic who still had no idea how to use shadows rocket shoes so you could tell he was losing

"Hey thats not fair!" Sonic yelled once he got hit with another ball of mud "i didn't know there were any rules" shadow snickered who appeared right in front of sonic not as dirty as sonic since the running got most of the mess off "can't you teach me how to use your shoes!?" Sonic said tired of being an easy target "give me one good reason why i should" shadow said crossing his arms, sonic thought for a moment picking out the proper words to persuade him "what if someone attacks the city and i wont be able to help since you never taught me how to use your shoes"sonic said confidently while shadow just raised a brow

His explanation wasn't the best but it did get the point across so shadow just quietly sighed and rolled his eyes "fine but you'll have to listen well I'm telling you again" shadow said not wanting to deal with saving a city, sonic nodded his head excitedly "alright so what do we start with first!" Sonic said practically ready for anything "first you need to calm down" shadow said holding up his index finger "and second you need to wait, we are supposed to be doing something remember" shadow said holding up a second finger sonic looked at the hedgehog in front if him obviously confused until it hit him "oh yeah!" Sonic said shadow would be lying if he said that he didn't forget either, which he did.

Sonic looked up at the sky, the sun nearly setting how much time did they waste anyway?

"We should head to angel island first..or maybe?" Sonic mumbled and got closer to shadow and before shadow could ask sonic stuck his hand through 'shadows quills' and quickly pulled his wrist communicator out messing up the quills "what the hell!?" Shadow said as sonic walked farther away from shadow so he was out of range from the angry hedgehog, sonic pressed some buttons and soon knuckles appeared on the screen he wasn't really paying attention so he didn't notice who it looked like was calling him

"Sonic you better have a good explanation why you were acting like an idiot yesterday" the echidna said with slight anger in his voice "i will knux but can you get a hold of everyone for me i have something to say" sonic said but the deep sounding of his voice made knuckles head pick up and snap his head to the screen "shadow! Why do you have sonics communicator?!" Knuckles barked "thats what I'm gonna explain just bring everyone to my- i mean sonics house and ill tell yo-" sonic said but got interrupted by knuckles

"First you explain to me, wheres SONIC!" Knuckles yelled catching shadows attention causing him to sigh he walked over to the other hedgehog who was trying to explain to his stubborn friend, he walked into view causing knuckles to stop yelling
