Chapter 19

"Ugh my head..what the hell??" Sonic groaned opening his eyes lazily only to the point they were half lidded he hissed when the sound of his own voice hit his ears, sonic flattened his ears against his skull trying to stop his head from the pounding sensations he felt

subconsciously sonic tried reaching for his head to ease the pain, sonics eyes snapped fully open,

He couldn't move not an inch he couldn't even move his fingers he struggled to even move his head to look were he even was, he was in a plain white room laying on the floor and what sonic guessed was a one way window next to a metal door sonic tried to get forcing his limbs to function, he bit his lip as he sat up on his elbows he could feel the world spinning he thought he was going to hurl his elbow slipped back and his head slammed agains the floor he groaned and just laid there giving up

"Shadow! Shadow wake up we have to save sonic!" Tails said shaking the hedgehog shadow had collapsed not long before sonic was taken "knuckles take shadow back to the van im going after sonic!" Tails said ready to fly off in the direction metal went "tails you can't its too dangerous lets go get the others first" knuckles said "well one of us has to go i might be able to still catch up to them-" "but you cant just go by yourself just wait until i contact the everyone else" knuckles said pressing some buttons on his communicator.

Shadow grabbed onto tails arm causing the fox to look down at the sickly looking Mobian "if you go take me with you i can help you find him" shadow said whispering so the echidna didn't notice, tails was hesitant but complied he silently grabbed shadow by the hands and spun his namesakes lifting them both in the air which was somewhat difficult since shadows whole body was just slack, knuckles heard the propelling of the foxes tails and snapped his head around to see that the fox was already too far away for him to catch up he tried calling after tails but was ignored so he did the only thing he could think of and waited for his friends.

Meanwhile tails flew as shadow told him where to go tails didn't know how but he had a feeling shadow knew what he was doing, shadow didn't know exactly where he was leading the other to but he could sense were sonic was and he wasn't too far away

"he's down there" shadow said and tails landed leaning shadow against a tree "shadow are you sure? i don't see anything" tails said and he was right nothing but trees surrounded them"i know he's here we just have to look around" shadow said standing properly staggering a bit before he walked off and tails followed he had some doubts now if he should really be following shadow but he still did and didn't complain, thats when shadow all of a sudden stopped "what is it shadow?" Tails said looking around "he's right here" "a-are you sure?" Tails said uncertainty filling his features shadow just nodded getting down on one knee feeling the ground with his hands "its hollow" was all shadow said "sonic!" Shadow yelled getting close to the floor putting his ear to it

They waited for something a sound anything

"Shadow? Shadow is that you!?"
Tails face lit up and as surprising as it might sound so did shadows except it was more hidden than tails "sonic are you ok!?" Tails asked "no i can hardly move.. but enough about me, how's shadow?" Sonic yelled back
"Yeah I'm fine, lets just make this quick" shadow said rolling up into a ball dashing  downward spin dashing into the false ground but nothing

He tried again this time jumping into the air higher going down with more force
Not even a dent

Shadow panted clutching his side in pain "dammit, hey do you know another way in?" Shadow asked sonic paused "no.. i only woke up not too long ago, i don't even know were i am myself" shadow grunted going in another direction "shadow, Where are you going?" Tails asked "to look for a way in, lets split up it'll be faster" shadow said tails nodded in response both going separate ways.

Tails wandered not flying afraid he would miss his ticket in, without shadow tails wouldn't even know sonic was here thanks to him tails felt that he really should thank shadow but it wasn't the time for that he could when he finds his brother

Tails now felt determined to find sonic, he started running looking out for anything that looked out of place that could possibly get him inside he observed trees little ponds and even checked the grass like how shadow did before but didn't have much luck so continued to run, tails skidded to a stop he saw something shine in the grass but he passed it tails went back to pick it up, it was one of shadows inhibitor rings tails eyes lit up but soon filled with horror once he realized.. tails ran again this time with more hurry his brothers life was in danger.
