Author's POV

When the big wall clock stroke at 12 Adhiraj unlocked his room to talk with his wife.

"Mehek!". He called her seeing the empty room.

Then he went to the balcony but she was nowhere. Suddenly his feet stopped before the washroom hearing the sound of water.

"That means she is in the bathroom!" He murmured and was going back but suddenly he saw the water, coming out from the washroom to the room. He huffed thinking that she might have forgot to close the shower or the tap of the bathtub that's why the water was overflowing.

"Mehek, close the tap!". He banged on the door again and again but didn't get any response.

'What is she doing? Should I check? But she won't like it!'. He fell into dilemma.

'Whatever! I'm her husband and I've the proper rights. She already hates me. So, there's no point of arguing!' He murmured and kicked the door. As a result, the lock broke and the door was opened widely for him.

He started searching her in the big bathroom but there was no sign of her. He immediately close the tap of the bathtub when his eyes fell on the broken window. He peeped his head outside and touched with his hand understanding that it was broken by someone.

"Mehek!". Adhiraj shouted loudly making the whole mansion shook in thunder but this time also no response came.

"What were you guys doing? You weren't able to take care of a girl?". He angrily shouted on the guards.

"S__Sorry, sir but we didn't see Ma'am, coming out of the room. We were always outside there and didn't move for a second"

"Just shut up! I don't want to hear any excuses! Go and find her right now. I want Mehek infront of my eyes in just ten minutes. Search her in every single corner of the mansion and bring the CCTV footages of the rooms. Dare you miss a single thing, I'll kick you out.". Adhiraj ordered strictly as they fearfully nodded their heads and went

'I've warned you many times but you've dared to play with the fire! Whenever I tried to be cool with you, you showed your over smartness. You are dying to see my worst side, Fine then! Be ready for it Mrs. Mehek Singhania!'

"Sir, see this!". One of his men showed him the footage where Mehek ran away from the window.

Adhiraj fisted his palms angrily. Opening the collar buttons, he tossed his tie, folded his shirt till elbow and hanged his coat on his wrist. Then sitting on the car he left from there.

Mehek saw Lakshya standing in front of him.

"Why are you following me? And what do you want?"

"Mehek I have many things to tell you"

"What?"

She raised her eyebrows as he faked a crying face.

"Mr. Singhania wanted to defeat you and destroy you as you've messed with him from the very first day. He wanted to break you and your self confidence. He knows that you're so strong, confident and smart girl that you won't break infront of him at any cost. He wanted to spend a night with you. That's why he said if I take you to him he will give me 50 lac rupees". His confession finally shattered her remaining piece of soul.

Her feet was trembling as she sat on the surface with a thud as tears rolled down from her eyes. Her value is just 50 lacs for him? Is she a substance which can be sold by mere 50 lac rupees?

"When I told him that I'll tell everyone including you, he kicked me out from his company"

Mehek went blank for a moment. How could someone be so cruel and heartless in this world?

"Then I started following you to tell the truth but I heard he had married you forcefully and caged you in his house. He and his guards were roaming around you 24*7. I was just waiting for a chance which I got today"

He continued with his words as she felt her mind would blast in a moment.

"Please, Mehek trust me!". He uttered and held her wrist tightly when a hard punch fell on his right cheek making him fall on the ground with a thud.
