they wait a few days until they were all stable enough to transport back to Seattle they were going home...
the load all of the doctors onto the plane and get them settled. Y/n was flying home with Callie a few hours later. mark wakes up a few hours into the flight and looks over at his sleeping girlfriend he couldn't believe what they had all been through after a while he falls back asleep waiting for the flight to be over.
they arrive at Seattle grace mercy west as they get wheeled into I.C.U they exchange stares with nurses and other doctors shocked by what happened to them. "bailey!" mark yells "yes?" "hows lexie doing is she ok" "she's alright had surgery to control some internal bleeding but other than that she looks ok" "can I see her?" he asks "sure" bailey wheels mark into lexies room where she is sleeping he looks over to her small fragile body hooked up to wires around her. "I'll leave you to it," Bailey says as she walks out. Mark spends a while in her room just while she sleeps until she starts to wake up "hey baby" he says "hi" she replies "how are you feeling" "sore wheres Y/n?" she asks "she with Callie flying home should be here soon" " hows everyone else?" "mers ok dereks hand needs surgery Arizona has an infection in her leg and Christina ok" "that good"
knock knock
"I have visitors if you up for it?" Callie asks"sure," marks says "Daddy!" Sophia says running into the room. "hey Sophia I missed you," he says as he hugs her "Mommy daddy! Y/n says running in. she hops onto the bed with lexie while Sophia sits with mark "hey baby girl how are you?" Lexie says. "I missed you mommy" " me to Y/n me too," she says hugging Y/n.
Time skip: around 1 week later
Mark was being released today while lexie had to stay for a few more days. everyone was released except for Arizona who was mad at Callie because she had her leg amputated. "Ok mark I have signed your papers your all good to go." bailey says walking into marks room "thanks bailey for everything" he replies" all good," she says leaving his room. " ok Y/n you ready to go," he says "Yeah!" she replies with excitedly to go home "how about we go see mommy first hm?" "Yay!" Y/n replies.
mark and Y/n walk through the hospital into lexies room. "hey baby" lexie says "hey how you doing" "ok I guess" " mommy!" Y/n says jumping onto lexies bed "hey sweetie" she says hugging Y/n. "mommy are you crying" "no" lexie says lying " what's wrong?" mark asks concerned "nothing I'm ok" she says. Mark sees Jackson walking past lexies room "Jackson!" mark yells "yes dr Sloan?" " Can you do me a favour" "sure" Jackson replies "can you take Y/n for like 10 minutes and go get her ice cream or something," Jackson notices lexie tearing up "sure Y/n wanna go see if they have chocolate ice cream in the cafeteria?" Jackson asks "Yeah!" Y/n replies jumping off lexies bed and running to take Jackson's hand. "so what's wrong," mark asks lexie "It's just that you get to go home and be with Y/n and I am stuck in this stupid hospital bed for who knows how long!" Lexie says bursting into tears. "Oh baby, I know how hard it must be but me and Y/n will come to see you every day that I take her into daycare and I will come see you every day I promise" "no don't bring Y/n to daycare yet have a few days with her before sending her back and don't come every day cause Y/n shouldn't come to the hospital every day I don't want her catching something." lexie says in between cries. "Baby I'll see you as much as I can ok," he says "Ok, but what if I'm still in the hospital on her first day of school she starts like next month." "I won't let that happen ok" "ok. you should take Y/n home" "I'll wait till Jackson brings her back" "ok can you lay with me till then?" mark nods and get into bed with lexie holding her. A few minutes later Jackson knocks on the door with Y/n, mark gets up and opens the door when he sees Y/n holding a chocolate ice cream holding Jackson's hand. "thanks Jackson" he says "anytime" he replies waving goodbye to Y/n she waves back, "Mommy mommy look what I got" "wow baby that'.s a big ice cream" "I know!" she replies "we better go" mark says walking over to Lexie giving her one last kiss "bye baby" mark says"bye babe" lexie replies " and goodbye baby I'll see you later ok" she says hugging Y/n tightly "Bye mommy I'll see you later" mark picks up Y/n and his bags and gives Lexie and air kiss while walking out of her room.
