It was 430 pm in the afternoon when your parents were throwing an end-of-summer party before everyone had to go back to school. you were so excited because everyone was coming. " Y/n how are we on drinks for the kids!" your mom yells out from the backyard as you walk out with three 6 pacts of all kinds of soda. "This answer your question?" you say. "thank-you, " your mom says as you hand her the drinks ' Knock knock knock you hear as you race to the front door only to see your aunt and uncle and baby cousin, mark, lexie and Stella. "Hey kiddo!" your uncle says as he gives you a side hug. "hey you guys glad you could make it! Hi Stella Bella you have gotten so big!" you say "tell me about it it's getting scary," lexie says "everyone's out the back come on," you say guiding them to the backyard.
Around an hour later everyone was there Jackson, Alex, mark, link, Winston, Owen, teddy, jo, Callie, Arizona, lexie, amelia, maggie, Christina And April. All of their kids were here as well. you were the oldest out of all the kids so it kinda sucked you had one to hang out with but your sister Zola and her best friend Sofia were only 4 years apart from you so you didn't mind. While everyone was talking and dancing you snuck inside to where the vodka was. your mom had let you drink before but only on special occasions. "Well well well what do we have here missy?" your aunt Christina says as she walks in glaring at you. "Christina how's my favourite aunt doing!" you say trying to suck up to her "Can't suck up to me kid but if you put the drink down and get your ass back outside my lips will be sealed," she says. you decide to take up her offer and you put the drink on the table give her a quick hug and run out the door.
Everyone was laughing and having so much fun it made you happy to see the people you love most in this world all here together. around 5 minutes later the song changes to Runaway girl. everyone starts yelling and you run over to the middle of the backyard where your uncle mark was already standing "Still remember it?" he asks " You know it" you smile back at him. When you were 7 you danced and needed to learn a dance to this song for your end-of-year concert but just couldn't remember it so one night your uncle mark came over and saw you struggling so he learned the dance to help you out. ever since then any time anywhere this song has come on and you were with your uncle mark you would both dance together. You both started doing some bad choreo from like 9 years ago but you both were laughing the whole time. at the end of the dance, you both posed and burst out laughing. You hug your uncle mark and everyone starts clapping.
you walk inside around 2 hours later only to see all the kids asleep on the couches. you take a photo and send it to your group chat with everyone who was here on it. you walk back outside and sit next to one of the only sober people here amelia. she wasn't drinking cause she used to be an addict. "Hey, Y/n how're things? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever you need to come to the hospital more we miss you!" you laugh as she clings on to you like if she let go you would disappear but you found comfort in how clingy she was being. "I know ill try to come after school this week. I miss you guys too." "any boy\girl friends?" " not yet idk I guess I'm just waiting for the right person." " Makes sense. Hey, sometimes it's good to wait you never know who god has in store for you," she says as she looks over at link and winks. you smile you are happy your aunt found someone. You yawn because it was around 12:45 am and you were getting tired. amelia notices this so she pats her lap for your head to lay down on so you do so. she plays with your hair as you slowly drift off to sleep in your aunt's lap.
" sweetheart," amelia says as she gently nudges your shoulder. you sigh as you are too tired to move. next thing you know you feel your head getting lifted while amelia moves out from under your head and as your head is placed down it's placed on someone else's lap. you slightly open your eyes and see that its Callie. she was also sober because she had to drive Sofia and Arizona home. she also plays with your hair so you slowly drift off back to sleep
You wake up but this time you were laying on the inside couch. your head was on Lexie's lap and as you look over you can see that mark is laying on the other couch with Stella in her carrier next to the couch. slowly and quietly you sit up and walk outside where your parents are cleaning up. "Rough night?" you ask yawning "You could say that how was your sleep," your dad asks as he picks up rubbish from the previous night before " well I remember falling asleep on amelia's lap being moved to Callie but where lexie came in I'm lost." " well about 45 minutes after you fell asleep on Callie they had to go so then you were moved to Alex's lap then when they left mark carried you to the couch inside and lexie must have put your head on her lap when they went to bed." your dad says "too drunk to drive?" "you know it" your dad answers.
for the rest of the morning, you help your dad with the cleanup and you look over photos from last night laughing. you were glad you got this last fun night before you stared back at school tomorrow.
