There are moments in your life when everything goes to hell. no matter how much you've seen, how ready you are, how much help you have. nothing can truly prepare you.
The hospital was in peices because someone had hacked the hospital and they couldn't get into all the medical recordeds and things like that. I was walking out of the elevator in a rush because alex had sent me on a wild goose chase to find out if a patient had been given heparin thats what you get when your moms gone MIA momentarily. I had a docter told me not to give the patient heparin so I was trying to run to find alex in the peds ward. my texts of course were not going through just my luck. I was rushing out of the elavator when I bumped into someone.
"Hey mia. Oh wait its 'Y/n' now, right?" I was frozen, I couldn't speak or move. paul had ruined mine and moms lifes and here he was standing in our hospital. "oh god Im so happy that your ok. jenny jenny. this is jenny she is my fiancee." A brunette girl came from behind paul she seemed nice, he's probably hurting her to.
"Hi" she waved to me. I couldn't move. I was stuck just staring at him. at his evil face.
"she has made me a new man. but hard to plan a wedding when, legally, you're still married." he chuckled "so um, we were so relieved when my lawyer revived your moms papers. thank her for me.
"its nice to meet you your nothing like I pictured."
"I mean you look so good mia. so much better, I mean. looks like you finally got the help you needed. wow you must be what 14 15 now you look a lot bigger than the last time I saw you. you must have been 7 or 8. long time to go without seeing your daughter." I wanted to sink into the earth right there and then. I wanted my life to end right now so I would be able to move.
"are you... is he .. are you paul stadler?" arizona said walking over to me and him.
"yes" he smiled
"oh my god. wow. I am... I am such a huge fan. your research on minimally invasive surgery procedures was life changing for me. uhm Dr. Arizona robbins. Fetal surgeon. wow are you fan girling here?" she smiled turning to me. "your paper on introducing multi-mode step index fibers for scopes was revolutionary."
"oh well she should know it. I mean she was always helping my write it."
"what?"
"though Im not sure how much she remember she was quite young alway bright for her age though probably got it from her dad I was the same when I was younger.." the all laughed
