We search the forest for almost the whole day, with no lead or evidence to suggest the creature is still here. Druig yawns and my stomach grumbles "come on." He says taking my hand in his "you're hungry and there isn't anything we can do now." I sigh and look around us at the darkening forest. "We'll start again tomorrow." Druig adds as he notices my hesitation. Slowly I nod my head and let him lead me out of the forest and into the town.

Instead of going back to the bar we head to a restaurant where we order a tone of food, having worked up an appetite. Druig uncorks the bottle of wine we ordered and pours me a glass "do you know that thing is still alive?" He asks breaking the silence "like surely it should be dead by now." I shrug and take the glass he offers, raising it to my lips. "I don't know." I admit "it hasn't been seen in over 150 years so it very well could be. But there is no harm in trying."

Druig tilts his head slightly and gives me a wonky grin "good thing I love you." He says and I match his smile "and I you." I say raising my glass. We toast to that. The food finally comes and we fall back into silence as we start to eat.

After a while the waiter comes back over and looks between the two of us professionally "is everything good?" He asks in accented english.  I smile at him thankfully and nod my head "it's perfect thank you." The waiter smiles and leaves us to our meal.

"Do you remember the last time we were all together?" Druig asks me, and I quickly swallow my bite of food. I cock my head to the side "what? At Ikaris and Sersi's wedding?" And he nods his head. "When we ordered all of that food and when the waiter came over to ask how it was Sprite's mouth was so full of food it all fell out when she tried to talk." He explains his train of thought.

I gasp then laugh at the memory, one of my favourites of our family. We continue with our meal before I offer him a fork full of my food "try this." I say and Druig wrinkles his nose at it. I roll my eyes and shove it further towards him, he sighs and finally takes a bite off of the fork making sure to keep eye contact with my the entire time which sends a shiver down my spine.

Druig sits back and chews for a few moments. "That's actually really nice." He admires and Rez he's for his own fork, he then leans over to take of my food and I swat him away. "Hey." I say with a serious voice "don't steal my food." He smirks playfully and draws back.

A few bottles later Druig pays for the meal and we start back towards my place. On the way I stop as we walk across a bridge and go over to the fences. "What you thinking about gorgeous?" Druig asks coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around my torso.

I lean into and sigh heavily "do you think I'm stupid for being attached to humans, knowing we will be going back to Olympus eventually?" I ask and I am met with a few minutes of silence. "Loving humans is one of your greatest strengths Noel." Druig says holding me tighter "and who's to say we will ever go back."

I turn my head to look up at him, his dark gaze meeting mine "you don't think Arishem will keep his promise?" I ask and he shrugs. Stepping back, Druig slides his hand into my own and leads me off of the bridge. "I assume not." Druig admits to me as we continue down the deserted streets "I mean, how long have we been here? 5 centuries, 6? There hasn't been a deviant siting for more than half that time."

I can't really argue with that so I just clutch him close. "And also." He adds after a while "how can we go back to somewhere we have no memory of."

That night, Druig and I lie in bed asleep when someone comes bursting into the apartment. "Noel!" Enzo shouts panicked "Noel! Quick!" Jumping out of bed, Druig and I race down the stairs and to where Enzo is standing, clutching his bad leg.

"Enzo." I say wrapping my dressing gown over my body "what's wrong?" He pants hard, a hint of hard he rushed to get here. "The creature." He informs us "we found it." Druig and I share a look and we follow the old man outside.

We hear roaring somewhere in the distance and then a massive figure, the size of a bear appears. Druig's eyes flash to me and I sigh "Enzo, go somewhere safe please."I say taking my hand out of its grip with Druig's "we are gonna go be superhero's."
