Round 2, Bitch
Valerie and Julie had agreed to fight over the weekend to avoid getting in trouble at school. But of course, Julie couldn't do anything without a crowd. When Valerie showed up to the park, 20 or so kids were there already, excited to see the conflict.
Julie was standing in the middle of the circle with her head held high. She had her hair in a pony tail and was wearing tight fitted clothing. At least it would be easy to pull her hair.
Valerie didn't really prepare for the fight. She had her hair down like normal and was wearing her average kind of clothes; a tank top, jeans, and a jacket tied around her waist.
The brunette walked up to the blonde and they stared each other down before Julie spoke up. "Whoever wins gets Robin." Valerie furrowed her brows and scoffed. "He's not a toy that you win from a carnival game." Julie looked at the girl. "Never said he was." Valerie took a deep breath, calming herself. "Then stop talking about him like he is."
"Whatever. Let's get this over with." Valerie looked at the teenagers watching her. She noticed a familiar face amidst the random ones. Gwen. She smiled to herself before throwing her jacket on the ground. "Round 2, bitch." Julie threw the first punch, which Valerie dodged. She tackled the girl to the floor and straddled her just as the blonde had done to her days before.
She landed punch after punch on her until she was kicked in the stomach. Valerie laughed as she watched Julie struggle to stand up. "Let me help you." She grabbed the girl's pony tail and pulled her up. "Ow, ow! Stop it!" Julie kicked the grass beneath her and Valerie let go.
The blonde charged at her, yet she failed miserably and ran right into a tree. Valerie burst into a fit of laughter, as did everyone else. Valerie' stood over Julie and spit in the dirt next to her. "Leave me and my friends the fuck alone." She kicked the girls side before grabbing her jacket and walking off.
"Valerie!" the girl turned to see Gwen running to catch up with her. "That was so fucking cool!" Valerie chuckled and thanked the younger girl. "She had it coming. Especially after what she said about you." The brunette swiftly looked to the short girl, a confused expression on her face. "What?"
Gwen blinked a few times and tried to change the conversation. "So I hear you have a history test coming up?" Valerie placed her arm in front of Gwen, stopping her from walking. "What did she say about me?" The Blake girl just stared at her with a blank expression. "Gwenny."
"Urgh fine! She went around telling people that you had planned to get your sister killed. That you arranged the hit and run." Valerie could feel her eyes burn as tears formed in them. "She said it was so you could take her place at the top of the so called 'food chain.'"
"And how do you know this?" Gwen looked at her shoes as she kicked the dirt. "Gwen." Valerie raised her voice. "Finney.." she whispered. Valerie shut her eyes and breathed in and out slowly. "Why didn't Finn tell me?" "He didn't want you to be hurt." Valerie had a look of anger on her face now. "Who cares if I'm hurt! I should've hit that bitch harder. And I would've if I had known."
"That's exactly why he didn't tell you! He didn't want you to hurt her more than you needed to."
"Needed to? She barely got what was coming." Valerie stormed off in the direction of the Grab n' Go. She didn't have a shift on Saturdays, but she wanted to get something to ease the pain in her hand. Julie's face was like a rock.
She entered the Grab n' Go and waved at Mike, her co-worker. She grabbed a box of Tylenol and a water. "Hey Mike." she said as she walked up to the counter. "What's up, shortie." Mike was only 5 inches taller than her, but to him it was a 3 foot difference. "Just this. Beat up some shit talker with a face as solid as a rock." Valerie placed her red and bruised fist of the counter.
"Oh, shit. You won this time, right?" She laughed and nodded her head. "7.65." Valerie raised her eyebrows at the price as she pulled out a 10 dollar bill. "That shit's gotten expensive, aye?" Valerie looked over her shoulder to see Robin walking up to her. "Yeah."
"I heard about Julie. You fucked her up pretty bad." Valerie shook her head. "Have you seen what you've done to Moose before? Compared to that, this was nothing." she said as she grabbed the paper bag from her friend.
The two walked next to each other on the sidewalk in silence for a bit. "So, is it true she ran into a tree?" Valerie laughed at the memory. "Yeah, it was hilarious. You should've been there." Robin smiled at the girl before looking at her hand. "Jeez, what the hell?" He grabbed her hand and closely inspected it. Her knuckles had turned purple from the bruising.
"Well shit." She stopped walking and opened the paper bag, taking out the Tylenol and the water. She put one of the tablets on her tongue and took a sip of water. Robin watched her every move, admiring her perfect structure. She smiled when she realized he was staring at her. "You good, cowboy?"
He seemed to snap out of his trance at the sound of her voice. "Cowboy? Seriously, where did this nickname come from?" Her smile never left her face as she answered. "I don't know, but I like it." He couldn't help but stare at her as they continued walking.
She had the most perfect smile the boy had ever seen. He watched her shiny, brown hair fly in the wind. How could he ever get so lucky to be walking beside her right now?

SHE WON Y'ALL, SHE FUCKING WON. I feel like everyone would know that she was going to win though. ;}
Also, that nickname may or may not be because of Miguel's Instagram post. I was trying to make one up and remembered it.
