Third Person POV

Loki was brought aboard the Helicarrier with SHIELD agents following every step of the way. As they walked the halls, Loki kept the same straight face the entire time until they passed Banner's lab.

They looked at each other as Loki grew a sinister grin. Loki was guided a heavily secured cell in the middle of the airship. Director Nick Fury walked up the stairs to a control panel. "In case it's unclear, if your try to escape, if you so much as scratch that glass," He pushed a button which opened a vacuum sealed door beneath the cell. "30,000 feet straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?" He sealed the door again.

He gestured toward Loki. "Ant," He then moved toward the button. "Boot." Loki chuckled out of amusement. "It's impressive cage. Not built, I think, for me." "Built for something a lot stronger then you." Fury told him with no expression.

Loki smirked whilst looking over to a camera. "Oh, I've heard." That camera was connected to a live feed in the main control room. "A mindless beast. Makes play he's still a man," Natasha looked to Bruce as she knew what it meant as did he and everyone else. "How desperate are you, that you call on such lost creatures to defend you?"

"How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace, and you kill because it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad you did." Fury glared at the God of Mischief.

Loki was very amused at the SHIELD Director's words. "Ooh. It burns you to have come so close. To have the tesseract, to have power, unlimited power. And for what? A warm light for all mankind to share. And then to be reminded what real power is."

Fury smirked at his word. "Well, let me know, if 'real power' wants a magazine or something." He walked away leaving Loki to himself and the live feed being cut off.

"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Bruce attempted to make a joke, only to be brushed aside by Cap. "Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, Y/N, what's his play?" Thor turned around from where he was standing. "He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard, nor of any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth. In return, I suspect, for the Tesseract."

Steve looked up at the god. "An army from outer space." Bruce took off his glasses. "So, he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for." Y/N struck his head from where he was. "Selvig?" Bruce looked to him. "He's an astrophysicist." "He's a friend." Thor told them.

It was Natasha's time to speak. "Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of ours." Natasha grew a saddened look with the last part." "I wanna know why Loki let us take him in. He's not leading an army from here." Steve told the others.

Bruce shook his head. "I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. You could smell crazy on him." Thor grimaced and grew angry. "Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard. And he is my brother." "He killed 80 people in two days." Natasha told him.

Thor didn't know what to say other then. "He's adopted." That made Y/n shake his head since he had adopted Luta a year ago. "I think it's about the mechanics. Iridium. What do they need the Iridium for?" Bruce questioned which was quickly by Tony. "It's a stabilizing agent," He then turned to Agent Coulson beside him. "I'm just saying, pick a weekend. I'll fly you to Portland. Keep love alive." Phil walked away from the billionaire.

"It means the portal won't collapse on itself like it did at SHIELD." He then walked up to Thor. "No hard feelings, Point Break. You got a mean swing." He patted Thor's arm and walked away to main control platform Fury had. "Also, it means the portal can open as wide and stay open as long as Loki wants it. Raise the mizzenmast. Jib the topsails." The SHIELD agents looked at him in confusion, causing Y/N to chuckle a small bit at the man's openness.

He pointed a corner of the room. "That man is playing Galaga. He thought we wouldn't notice, but we did." He then covered his left eye and looked at the computer screen. "How does Fury even see these?" "He turns." Maria Hill answered him. "Sound exhausting. That rest of the raw materials, Agent Barton can get his hands on pretty easily. The major component he still needs is a power source of high-energy density. Something to kickstart the Cube." Tony explained as he turned around the group.

"When did you become an expert in thermonuclear astrophysics?" Hill asked him. "Last night. The packet, Selvig's notes, the extraction theory papers. Am I the only one who did the reading?" Tony threw his arms up in exasperation. "Does Loki need any particular kind of power source?" Steve asked which answered by Bruce. "He would have to heat the Cube to 120-million Kelvin just to break through the Coulomb barrier." Tony finished his sentence. "Unless Selvig has figured out how to stabilize the quantum tunneling effect."

Bruce spoke back to Tony. "Well, if he could do that, he could achieve heavy ion fusion at any reactor on the planet." Tony walked to Bruce and put a hand on his shoulder. "Finally, someone who speaks English." "Is that what just happened?" Steve questioned, flabbergasted.

Tony and Bruce shook hands. "It's good to meet you, Dr. Banner. Your work on antielectron collisions is unparalleled. And I'm a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green-rage monster." Bruce looked shock and saddened at the mention of his other half. "Thanks."

Fury entered the room. "Dr. Banner is only here to track the Cube. I was hoping you might join him." "I'd start with that stick of his. It may be magical, but it works an awful lot like a HYDRA weapon." Steve suggested, bringing his knowledge of HYDRA from his time back then.

"I don't know about that, but it is powered by the Cube. And I would like to know how Loki used it to turn the two sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys." Fury told the group. Y/N looked at Fury confused. "Monkeys? I do not understand." "I do." Cap shot a finger toward Y/N, causing everyone to look at him incredously. "I understood that reference."

It was quiet until Tony spoke up. "Shall we play, Doctor?" Bruce moved his arm to the hallway. "This way, sir."

In the corner of the room where Tony pointed, the man playing Galaga resumed his game.

Y/N's POV

Fury had dismissed us from control room to roam about the ship. I decided to pay a visit to my Uncle.

I walked down the stairs and crossed my arms looking at him. He must've heard me coming as he was staring at the ceiling of the cell. I saw his lips point up in a smirk. "My loving nephew," He turned his head toward me. "It's good to see you again."

I ignored his comment. "What happened to you in the Void?" He sat up from his cot and looekd at me. "Whatever do you mean? I'm the same Uncle you once knew and loved." I shook my head. "You're not the Uncle I know. The Loki I knew helped me whenever I fell down from training. Whenever Father was partying, you put me to bed. Whenever Father was out on his events on Earth, you tried to cheer me up with your tricks and magic." "Enough!" Uncle exclaimed, putting a fist on the glass.

He grew a scowl on his face. "You and your Father are the last things I wanted in my life. Especially your Father. He took the right to the throne even though I was the eldest. Why did you think I helped you with those things? I was just trying to get the Allfather's praise and respect so he could see which son was to be the true king of Asgard. When you were born, I despised you. Your mother was from the blood of the very people we sought war from all those years ago. The only reason I tolerated you was because I thought I could use to get to Thor, but no. You're just a pitiful boy who thinks himself a man because of the title that was given to him by right of birth, not honor." He then grew a smirk. "But, that will all be corrected once the Chitauri come through and ravage this world, leaving nothing but a smoldering ashen planet for me to rule."

My eyes grew a little wide as he let out, what I had assumed, years of emotion. My composure remained as I walked away. I looked to my Uncle. "You're not fit to be king. Never was and never will be." I turned to leave and walked up the stairs. "Do you remember what your last words to me were?" I saw him grow confused. I turned my head to stare at him. "You said to me that you couldn't have asked for a better nephew." He looked taken back. "I guess that was a lie like all the times before." I left the cell room leaving him to his thoughts.
